She clearly means she thinks it’s unfair to Trump.
Is it intentionally ambiguous so it could be read either way? Also, will she vote to acquit after saying it’s a sham? Because if she meant that the Republicans have failed I would expect her to vote no on witnesses but yes on impeachment.

Is it time for a 60 million person march on washington yet?

There comes a certain point where one side has lost all sanity and right to be heard. The Republicans have crossed that threshhold.
At this point I consider the entire party irredeemable traitors to America. This was their last chance, even just hearing witnesses than acquitting would have shown a little hope, but they have none left now. They’re gone - and can never be considered loyal Americans.
Also, the impeachment process itself is now completely toothless. We elect kings.
Now begins phase III: make this vote cost Susan Collins, Cory Gardner, Martha McSally and Thom Tillis their jobs.

Yeah, I knew this was going to be the result but I’m honestly a little surprised that they didn’t even put on a show trial, even if we all knew they had made up their minds beforehand. I was at least expecting a “the evidence was inconclusive” statement or something like that, not “We know the President is guilty as charged but we don’t care, so there’s no point in bringing in witnesses”.
It’s the whole saying the quiet part out loud thing, like how that senator was crowing about how this might impact Biden in Iowa.

Yea, i think you’re right.
Here’s my problem with that -
That’s still too low of a price to pay.
Hopefully someday we get to see Attorney General Adam Schiff.

It is, but now we get to find out if Americans want to keep the Republic or not, I guess. Do people see Collins and McSally and nod their heads and say “Yes, as long as he’s our guy a President should have near unlimited powers” and re-elect them all, including Trump? Then we’re sliding down the chute after Turkey and Hungary and the like.
I guess we’ll find out what happens in November. I remain extremely anxious.
GOP retakes the House, retains the Senate, Trump wins, the whole thing is rigged.
We end up having to just burn this whole muh-fudger down.
But wait I thought that PACs weren’t supposed to coordinate with candidates!
SHOCK but also SURPRISE
This is one sad day for these United States.
May King Donald the First and all of his enablers get what they deserve.
Why the fuck are the Democrats agreeing to a vote to acquit? Or is that tweet poorly worded and the agreement is for a vote, knowing that the result is predetermined?
Also, given that the result is predetermined, is there any Democrat willing to stand up and calm the Republicans out on their bullshit explicitly? Schiff has appropriately, given his role, avoided attacking Republican Senators directly instead making general statements about checks on executive power, the role of the Senate, the responsibilities defined under the constitution and etc but has anyone stood up and explicitly said, “If the subject of this impeachment trial was a Democrat, you would not vote to acquit”? “You are putting party over country and shirking your constitutional duties and paths of office because the crimes were committed by a Republican President. You are establishing a double standard where only one party has to play by the rules while the other is above the law and unbound by our constitution.”
I want to hear that said explicitly, not have it be understood by those paying attention. And I want it said in the Senate, before the vote, not after the fact to reporters who will just lump it under one side said this and the other said that.
It was time a couple of years ago. Americans won’t do anything of the sort until they’re starving, and that’ll be way too late.

The GOP is not retaking the House, though with the Senate and a rigged juidiciary, the House will be neutered.
I really think we’d have to look at indepedent solutions if Trump steals another election.
The GOP crossed the Rubicon today. There’s no going back for them ever after this.
