Zing!

That’s a spicy meatball!

That particular bit of impeachment porn is definitely doing it for me. ;)

Wow.

As I suspected, “Here’s your invitation and we’ll schedule you…” last week, followed by:

“Oh, and if you decide not to come, here’s your subpoena too.”

“Now that you’ve seen what’s out there, how do you feel about trying to knock the legs out from under this particularly stupid talking point the White House is clinging to?”

So DJT — is Rudy your personal lawyer?

“Rudy who? You mean the coffee boy?”

I can’t get that Specials song out of my head since triggercut posted it.

“Better think of your future
Else you’ll wind up in jail.”

“I have not spoken to John about [his comments, as conveyed by Hill],” Giuliani told The Daily Beast on Tuesday morning. “John is a longtime friend. I have no idea why John is doing this. My best guess is that he’s confused and bought into a false media narrative without bothering to call me about it.”

I always get this Le Tigre ditty stuck in my head, because it’s super catchy and includes these exquisite lyrics:

Oh fuck
Giuliani
He’s such
A fucking jerk

Jesus Christ this thread moves fast …

I could have sworn someone here said they’d give Bolton a mustache ride if he flips. Or maybe it was on reddit. Let’s hope it was on reddit.

Not sure if serious. Deadline for post for print for morning dailies is at midnight I believe. So stories for print get posted then, many make it onto digital print at that time. Hell, there’s even a show for it:

God, I hope this happens. Even John Bolton would make ‘Shirtsleeves’ Jordan look like a clown.

It’s impossible for Jordan to not look like a clown.

Jim Jordan vs. John Bolton is a dream matchup for Dems. Please please please have Jim Jordan try to paint John Bolton as the Deep State.

Oh dear.

So it isn’t the 90’s or even the Aughts any more. The Big Three papers – the Times, the Post, and the WSJ – are all heavily paywalled sites now. They also know they’re competing with NBC/CNN/CBS/ABC for exclusives and scoops. And they’re all competing in the mart of social media. Clicks rule the roost.

So print deadlines be damned, basically. The big papers want to get the story out and they want to get it out ASAP. They’re not going to hold stories the way they used to in the past so that they hit the morning editions. And so, especially with Washington news, that means that 4:30-7:30 pm ET has been News O’Clock. Check when the major stories during the Mueller investigation broke online, as every major news outlet scrambled to scoop one another and earn those clicks – and sell those morning editions a point of sale the next day.

What’s skewing news o’clock to later in the evening in the last two weeks is testimony to congressional committees that has run well into the evening hours.
