Founding Fathers Forum Game: A republic, if you can keep it.

The President rolls a 4. Want to spend the 2 to gain the popularity?

No. @Brooski

Spend 2 IP to push the liberal paper from 1->2+

@Cuthbert

Found a Liberal paper

@Panzeh

Have Thaddeus Stevens make a speech for free

Going to bed shortly. After the Stevens speech is resolved Daniel Webster will use an IP to Whip Up Conservative Support.

Stevens rolls a modified 2—not the greatest speech of his career.

Webster rolls a 2 for no change.

We now move to the Round. @Navaronegun is president, so he gets to go last. We start the bidding for the bonus card and initiative with @Brooski.

1 IP

I have no IP so @Panzeh

@Navaronegun card delivered. Any action with your impulse?

President Dallas attempts another speech at his Inauguration. @CF_Kane

President Dallas’s inauguration was an unadulterated fiasco. He arrived late for his speech after his carriage broke down, drenched by an unseasonably strong storm. Cold and frustrated, Dallas managed to alternatively bore and offend listeners. (Dallas rolls a 1).

Any actions before the first issue of Dallas’s Presidency?

No. Inauspicious portents.

The first issue of Dallas’s Presidency was the disposition of the western territory. Many new states were added, and much new territory gained, but the new states were sparsely populated. Many in Congress called for a new Land Act to ensure settlement of the west.

The Land Act of 1820 is a difficulty 3 issue for the Treasury and Congress. If resolved, it gives 2 public support to the liberal party, 1 IP to the Conservative Leader, 1 Revenue, and 3 popularity.

If it is ignored or it fails, -3 Popularity.

@Navaronegun, will President Dallas appoint a Treasury Secretary or ignore the issue?
