Aren’t “Armed Rebellion” and “War for Secession” more or less the same thing? OK, I guess the former could be a rebellion to overthrow the whole government, rather than just have a section secede from it.

I think that would be a good thing. Presumably he would go to some whack-job conspiracy network (web site, I guess - I’m not sure what’s what that far to the right). The fringe would follow him, but to the basic Mom / Dad / Grandma / Grandpa who has the TV on Fox all day, he would just disappear.

Just posturing by Hannity. Maybe his contract is up soon, but there is no platform that could offer him close to the audience, money, and cachet of FOX News that would take him.

Oh, I suspect they would pay him even more than Fox. They would sell blood to get money to pay him.
He’d bring over the most insane, hard core fox nuts, instantly. It’d immediately give OANN significant market share.
This could easily be an early move in that direction, so that when he moves, it’s even easier for Hannity to pull his viewers with him.

FOX pays him $15 million/year. If OANN had that kind of money they’d have actual talent instead of the assclowns they have.
Also, OANN has zero cable distributors and is only available to about 10% of the US via operators like DirecTV, Verizon, and AT&T U-Verse.
They don’t have Hannity money.
This is just like Daniel Craig announcing that Spectre would be his final Bond role and Chris Evans saying he was done with Captain America like 10 movies ago.

You can always tell how awful something is going to be by the amount of jingoism crammed into the name. Patriot Act, Citizens United, Freedom Caucus. If they had thought to try the tactic back then, Trickle Down would have been known as Liberty Dribblings.
