I see. It’s a bit maddening. The new bulbs are better and cheaper when you consider energy savings, but saving energy is bad because liberals want to reduce carbon footprint. Anything that makes liberals happy is bad.

The conservatives are such petty assholes.

Trumpers: “That photo totally owns the libs! Suck on it snowflakes, Laura sure showed you!”

Everyone else (scratching heads): “Huh. … I guess the message is … Trump supporters are too stupid to understand how simple items like straws, light bulbs, and food work?”

I first interpreted it as Ingraham paying tribute to Trump’s stable genius very large aah-brain: dead bulbs, dogshit, and Adderall deployment devices.

Isn’t this supposed to be related to all the things the Green New Deal is supposed to ban from American Life? Although, if that’s how you eat your steak, it might be a good idea to ban it.

Pretty sure someone above it had it right on above, do something stupid, show something stupid, say you own the libs and the Trump cult wins. What they win, no one can actually say.

It would absolutely crush me if Herr Ingraham ate a moist dog turd live on the air. I would be thoroughly owned, so I hope to god he doesn’t do it.

My news feed this morning:

Taliban Mocks Trump’s “Astonishing” Afghanistan U-turn, Suggest Decision “Certainly Damaged His Credibility” - Newsweek

How Trump’s Plan to Secretly Meet with the Taliban Came Together and Fell Apart - The New York Times

Secretary Pompeo: Trump Administration still interested in Taliban peace deal - CNN

Trump proves he’s a better dealbreaker than dealmaker - this time with the Taliban - The Washington Post

Rep. Michael Waltz: Trump’s Taliban decision was smart - He’s showing leadership where Obama failed - Fox News

I heard an interesting take on this from some talking head over the weekend. The woman talking wondered how the Taliban was going to get to peace talks at Camp David? Were they going to be flown here on military jets, come in on their own or be brought here by a third party? How do terrorists come to the US for a meeting?

edit: I hear the buffet is world class

Go eat some more Trump steaks with a straw, Herr Ingraham.

I guess Ingraham thought he was dumb, because, you know.

I don’t know how I feel about the idea of black athletes staying away from primarily white schools. It’s hard to not have most colleges be primarily white – whites are still the majority and for a variety of reasons a greater percentage of whites seem to go to college.

There is something fundamentally wrong wtih college football and basketball, though. Those sports generate so much revenue and the players get very little share in it.

The highest level athletes want to play for programs at the highest level. In football that is pretty much locked in stone. Grambling is never going to compete with Ohio State in football. In basketball you do see it happen every few years where some school comes out of nowhere and does well in the NCAA’s.

To think that black athletes would in mass live major college programs for small black schools is pie in the sky wishing. They would be risking their potential pro futures by doing so, and way too many college athletes share that dream.

Ron Howard:
It was a mess.

What national security team?

The one that is currently unstaffed for the most part. And there aren’t even nominees for most of the positions.

But hey, a committee of empty seats in our current White House is probably about as effective as you are going to get.

High-level athletes want to go to schools with a lot of visibility so that they have a shot at the pros because a school that routinely gets into the playoffs will have more eyes on them, and these guys will need the exposure.

But the HIGHEST level athletes have a lot more flexibility since the pros will be looking at them no matter where they go. A four-star recruit out of high school is going to be the radar for the pro leagues even if they decide to go to a HBU with little hope of a post-season. And that’s the scenario they are talking about here.

The other side of Scuzz’s coin is the coaches. A four-star high school recruit will indeed be on everyone’s radar no matter where they go, but they DO want to play for a coach who is going to be able to improve their skills, and that’s going to be one of the Big Schools.

A vacuum is by definition, not a mess. q.e.d.

If it ever happens, it will start with Basketball, with a LeBron-esque “decision” like the Fab 5. Think if the ALL of the Fab 5 had gone to Grambling…
