It’s darkly hilarious that there is a bizzaro world argument going on about what “conservatism” is or is not. It’s not just this forum that argues about what the word means, it’s also apparently an argument happening between different factions of fascists.

We’ve seen it still happens with quite a bit of frequency. Various groups break up or get into feuds with other groups. Heck, Milo was leaking footage of Spencer just a week ago. Every one of these groups is puritanical to the extreme so any variation from their agenda means you’re the enemy. Hate brown people, but don’t have a problem with Jews or gays? Well, you’re obviously the enemy, etc, etc.

What’s even more important is how it will be covered in their prime time news shows. I wonder if any of those shows will even show clips from the testimony?
They will always be able to cherry-pick something to show. Maybe Taylor wipes his brow at some point. Some Republican Congressman asks a pointed question that implies something negative about Taylor.

It’s also an anti Semitic trope. They’re just using Soros as a Jew boogeyman. A guy I know at work was spouting all the Soros bullshit several months ago, about how he was destabilizing economies across the world and everything else under the sun, just because he’s evil and he enjoys it. He was saying Soros was richer than anyone else on Earth, which is, of course, not even close to true.
He was getting all of this shit from Fox news, for the most part.
What do you do with these people? I have this urge to call them out, but I know it will never end well nor make any difference. Yet to silently witness it is at times nigh unbearable.

The anti-Soros stuff comes straight from Russia. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Soros (as a Holocaust survivor) was profoundly worried about the rise of fascism in the resulting power vacuum, in his native Hungary as well as elsewhere in the former eastern bloc.
