That was a cheery read.

On the nose. And damn scary.

Bingo.

Why isn’t it ‘Frau Ingraham’? Doesn’t have the same Nazi ring to it?

Thanks Rupert!

Russian trolls and bots: WINNING!

Well, you know, there was that whole ‘Winds of Change’ afterglow in the '90s.

Is that a reference to the Heralds series?

Oh, this thread exists? Here goes

Fuck my life.

I guess the idea is that before feminism women were able to be stay-at-home moms? What might a woman construe as better from the past other than something like that?

It makes sense in some ways because a lot of women now have to both work and still take care of the majority of childcare and housework duties, so they may feel their workload has increased. That’s due to the economics of modern life rather than feminism, though.

It also ignores that they had to put up with whatever the husband did, because the option was being homeless and leaving their kids with the father.
I’ve read enough domestic violence stories that still happen that I can only say “fuck that”.

This is more about male attitudes than feminism, though.

Really, I am trying to understand how a woman’s life was better in the pre-feminist days? I don’t see it.

I looked at that thread and a bunch of folks were posting, “Q sent me.” Is that like saying I believe in Q?

Have people always been this dumb or is this just something social media is revealing to us now?

Did this Watters world thing already happen? Is there a summary of it? (He’s the guy who has a liberal mom who berates him in emails he reads on the air, right? Go mom!)

I mean, I assume for some taking care of the house and kids was (and still is) more fulfilling work than anything else. And can probably include writing a book or selling cakes or whatever.
But it’s not feminism that says it’s not a valid choice or meaningful work, so…

And it’s not feminism that makes them get a job. It’s modern capitalism.

Plenty of upper class women still do the housewife thing. It just stopped being an option for most other people.

Isn’t what really drove the “success” of feminism the need for two income households? More than anything else WW2 and the then the need for two incomes put women into the workforce.

My wife basically dropped out of the workforce for 12 years while our kids went thru school. She did it because she wanted to though.

Q is kinda like Anonymous. Anyone can say they are one. It makes them feel strong and respected.

Q?
