That’s funny. I was thinking along the same lines as you and had something about water balloons written out but then the thought of water balloons made me happy so I decided I wouldn’t waste any more of my time on that stupid motherfucker.

Yet still the money pours in because of Fox’s inclusion on cable packages.

They have a major problem in that most of their viewership is either dead from COVID-19 or can’t figure out how to use the newfangled remote.

I thought 90% of Fox ads were the My Pillow Guy ones.

You forget the “Buy Gold and Silver” ads.

Emergency Food Rations too.

Nothing says Fox News better than a headline reading that the President has ‘hit’ a woman of color.

Fox gonna Fox.

Let’s be honest that’s FOX understanding its audience better than you understand its audience.

FOX’s audience sees mass protests like this

  1. OMG i’m afraid
  2. This would have never happened when X
  3. George Floyd death was terrible
  4. OMG protestors are burning property. They’re totally in the wrong
  5. We should send in the troops and crack some heads!
5a) [its probably a liberal conspiracy. Antifa and Soros! Can you believe they’re abusing this situation to attack President Trump!?]
  6. If we don’t our world is going to end

FOX is basically telling them to sit down and shut up, the economy and their portfolios are going to be fine. Better even! Because FOX can see the writing on the wall and is telling them what they want to hear. Because if every significant military figure comes out against cracking heads and Trump’s crazy supporters push him to do so, it really will end with the National Razor, and the necks over at News Corp are looking long. Or, more prosaically, it will lead to the certain collapse of Republican power in the country.

It is weird watching Fox Business now. The talking heads just can;t explain why the market is rising, while they don’t trust it, as they scream for the economy to open up while it is tanking.

Today was just another great example of how the market really doesn’t represent anything real in a day to day sense.

It’s a gauge for rich people’s feelings.

I have seen this mentioned, and talked to a few rich people, and I can confirm this is a fact.

Poor people “park” their money at the local grocery store. Rich people park it in the stock market.

“The infographic used on Fox News Channel’s ‘Special Report’ to illustrate market reactions to historic periods of civil unrest should have never aired on television without full context. We apologize for the insensitivity of the image and take this issue seriously,” the Fox Corporation-owned outlet said in a statement.

I wonder what context they think would make the chart better?

So, Ponzi scheme, then?

I’d have gone with a clip of Scrooge McDuck taking a money bath.

Superimposed over a line of bankers being led to the gallows?

Over an image of Robespierre or Marx?

Short of that nothing.
