I’ve been confused for awhile about the Punisher logo being used by police. I know a lot of Marvel writers and editors aren’t happy about it. The Punisher was never a hero, and certainly not someone you’d want to be “protecting” your community, but never underestimate people’s ability to idolize bad characters, I guess.
These are the same idiots that think Rorshach was right in Watchmen.

The Punisher killed criminals and didn’t have to abide by any of your dumb “rules.” Same with Rorshach. I imagine if the Judge Dredd movie was less silly and more recent they’d be wearing that iconography as well.

It’s pretty telling when you see who amongst pop culture the wingnuts like to compare their heroes and enemies to. Cheney and Bannon have both likened themselves to Darth Vader and Satan. Right wing cartoonists during the Obama years would constantly depict Obama as Santa, Robin Hood, George Bailey, Luke Skywalker, etc. - even Jesus. Trump’s own campaign runs an ad that shopped Trump’s head onto Thanos (and because chuds always have to double-dip on the stupid, they chose the moment he gets defeated).
I think right wingers literally have their brains in backwards.
