This just went into open beta and reeks heavily of Subspace. It’s uncomplicated, simple fun. What’s more interesting to me is the pricing scheme for when it goes out of beta.
Free play, extra goodies if you pay a monthly fee (For Subspace? I’d sooner play xpilots than pay monthly for this), or you can lay out a $50 one time fee for lifetime membership. Is this ‘lifetime subscription’ thing turning into a trend? Regardless, I don’t see it doing too well as a pay for play. It’s in open beta and the game’s a ghosttown until around 8 PM EST. Still worth a look if you want some quick fun.
