I think it was Miramon who pointed out (in a discussion about Freelancer) that most likely, even if you were right in the middle of this formation, it would ultimately look pretty much like it does here - normal, black space.
When you collapse a few lightyears into an arc-second, you get some interesting looking formations. But space doesn’t really look like that.
