Nope!

More revealed! This game must be more obscure than I’d hoped.

I know the game publisher. No idea what the game is, as that publisher was most active in my aforementionned personal Dark Age of PC Gaming!

The love child of Darksiders and God of War.

Revenant? Which I always confuse with Soul Reaver?

How on earth do you know the publisher from that? Odd shaped box?

Correct!

I loved this game when it came out. The lead character was hilarious in how serious he was, but the game actually had a fair amount of comedy in it. I later found out it was the first game a co-worker of mine worked on, and I kind of fanboyed out on him, which he found funny since it was not exactly a well known blockbuster.

Ohhh I knew this one, saw it late! I think this was supposed to be a Diablo clone?

Yeah, it was, although it was a bit more “actiony” and narrative driven than Diablo.

Admittedly, one of my big memories of the game was my wife overwriting my save, forcing me to replay about seven hours of gameplay. I was very angry, but it taught us a valuable lesson.

We of course now have separate PCs for gaming. Heh heh.

Throwing this question out there:

Would people prefer:
• Probably super easy but historically significant and/or interesting, or
• Super-obscure STUMP THE PUBLIC stuff?

Indifferent. Think it is neat seeing games I have never heard of. Also neat seeing a reminder of the big games.

I’d prefer something in between. :D

I try to go for ‘anything that won’t be completely obvious in the first image’ and that’s about it.

nijimeijer had munificently given hints of the top letters of the publisher’s logo.

I do not care either way, as long as the art is interesting!

OK. I get frustrated with the ‘Here’s a tiny little detail from a tiny little box’ puzzles, so instead i’m just giving you practically the whole thing to work with. If you’ve seen it, you’ll recognize it immediately.

Where in the world is Kyle McLachlan’s face.

Not a “Where in the World” game.

International Karate?

Not International Karate (good guess though!)

Additional non-visual clue just so no-one says I am misleading: the game was on other platforms besides Atari.

Code Breaker?
