I know that cover, and it belongs to Little Big Adventure, aka Twinsen’s Odyssey-- I wonder if you had the right game in mind and got confused? :-)

To be honest, the game was darn ugly as well. There was some consistency, at least.

Yeah, the late-90s were bleak for art direction. Early 3D was terrible. I remember telling Blizzard at E3 how grateful I was they stuck with 2D for Diablo II.

That is correct! I almost gave it to @robc04 because I also thought perhaps he meant LBA. Funny.

This game is now 20 years old!
