(It was literally the second game, after Outrun, I loaded up when I got an A500 for Christmas after upgrading from a Spectrum. Man, it played music at you with that box art on screen. In 32 colours with no clash! Wowsers!)

As someone who’s never heard of this game, I’m now curious about how the bearded countryman fits in the “hyper-speed shoot-out in space” narrative to the point of deserving almost the full cover.
No one knows. Really.
So it was purposefully random… amazing.
We ran that as one of the entries in our ‘worst box art’ slideshow at Yahoo Games back in the day. Of course I suppose you could argue that at least it’s… distinctive.
