Game box art challenge?

No. One more for today:

The gun makes me think of a 2000AD game, but I don’t know any of them, so I’ll just guess “Judge Dredd (c64)”

I was getting a bit of a Dredd vibe myself…

It’s like time cop meets dredd… Demolition Man!

None yet, @Pod might have guessed the platform…

Some more gun action:

Thalamus? Hmm, the only games of theirs I can think of are stuff like Sanxion and Delta, and it ain’t those. Grr/argh.

Yes, it’s one of their later ones I think. A little more:

Is Cybernoid a Thalamus title? I’ll say Cybernoid.

Nope - this is the last one I have, everything but the name. Maybe the guy’s face will ring a bell with someone?

Well it looks like no one is going to get it, let me see if I can find the full image… hang on there’s someone at the door, just a minute.

Oh my goodness, you won’t believe who just turned up. Hang on, he wants to write something.

mash-alan-alda

Hey there Quarter to Three, this is Alan Alda using my good friend wavey’s account. You might know me best as a six-time Golden Globe winning actor, but I’m also an accomplished writer and director in my own right. Now where was I? Ah that’s right, wavey was just saying how he was about to lose a round of the Qt3 Box Art challenge, and I wanted to persuade him to give you all another chance. I promised not to give any hints about what this Zzap Gold Medal-winning platform shooter hybrid might be, but I happen to remember it well. It came out around the same time as my movie A New Life, and would often challenge my co-star Hal Linden to high score matches. He once claimed to have seen a secret level that appeared after level 5, but you know Hal, he’s full of shit. Anyway, one more guess from each of you wouldn’t hurt, would it? Don’t make my pal resort to dropping obvious clues, please. He has little enough self respect as it is. See ya, and keep watching me on The Good Fight on CBS All Access.

Dammit I actually was about to say Hawkeye!!! (before the Alan Alda pic)

That art appears in an in-game splash screen which shows up on one of those Youtube C64 music compilations. I knew I’d seen it, but mistakenly associated it with Cybernoid…

Yep!

Alan sends his best.

New one:

Goddamn it.

GODDAMN IT.

I DON’T WANT TO DO ANOTHER ONE.

Ultima II: Revenge of the Enchantress. It was my favorite apple II game so i have no choice.

Sorry!

I was hoping the space mask would be a good decoy, but no such luck.

You had no chance. I spent literally hours staring at that box cover as a kid. It was, I believe, the first computer game I actually bought at a store instead of pirated.
