Game box art challenge?

Indeed.

Dangit, I woulda got that.

Yay, my first win! I played a few of Infocom’s text adventures back in the day but never played this one –for a non-English native speaker the title was puzzling enough, not to mention the allusions to “spoonerisms” and “verbal trickery” :-)
For some reason, though, the image of the twin farmers on the cover has stuck with me.

I’m currently on the road with limited online access so I’ll happily pass the turn to whoever wants to post a new challenge.

I’m surprised you didn’t.

Also, nudge nudge @Khelavaster.

I’ll do one, since Khelevaster said he was unavailable.

Second frame:

Angry Janitor: After School Beatdown

Please note that I just made that up.

Well, now I want to play it. Get coding!

Frame 3…

My initial thought screams SSI, but it is no SSI game I can recall.

Ferris Bueller’s Vietnam

John Wayne Colonizes America.

Screw it, I’ve got no better idea, but the original Metal Gear alternate box art

It ain’t right, but

Utopia for the Intellivision.

“FOR COLOR TV VIEWING ONLY.” meant it was old and a console game, likely.

I must admit, though, that I first Google’d a couple of guesses for the 2600 before I realized that this was more the Intellivision art style. As soon as I realized it was Intellivision and I could see the hints of the circular border around the soldier and the island above I went immediately to Utopia. So, does that count?

I love those old Mattel covers, with the circular windows.

I followed the exact same path, in reverse :D

But yeah, zero idea. Some Airborne Ranger clone? (was that game ever a genre!)

Bigweather gets it. You’re up! (I’ll post full art when I get home.)

Woooo!

I think this one may be guessed fairly quickly. Like @Gordon_Cameron 's it all begins with a shady dude with a gun…
