i figured i needed a hard one since the last one I did was guessed in under 2 minutes :-)
The wikipedia entry for this game is really funny and is, for once, something that sounds like a very personal account of what the writer experienced with the game.

A game I remember loving, but quit because of bugs. No idea how popular it was.
Totally know it, absolutely can’t locate it.
I’ll say Sword of Sodan because I get Amiga or Megadrive tinkles.

Yep,that went faster than I expected.
I would have gotten it with the first screen but missed it-- over the years I spent many times looking at the cover of this game trying to decide if the overall complexity was worth the supposedly cool tactical combat. In the end, I never played it :-P
