And your link has the name of a person who got permabanned from this site due to death threats and acting exactly like the gators you so despise, and you’ve been on this site around long enough to know this.

No, it doesn’t. It’s not the person you’re thinking of. Not that it would actually make a difference to the validity of the evidence.

This comment is reprehensible, no matter how you feel on Anita.
It’s linked from his site.

No what he is saying is the blanket comments by some that seem to indicate all women are being forced out of games development one by one is incorrect and is usual in these incidents you can’t comment for everyone like people like to do in these instances.
Also nowhere is he oddly suggesting no harassment of women is happening, again you ready what you want in to the comment. Which sums up the whole thing really, anyone says something and anyone on the other side reads it and adds in extra stuff that isn’t there just to validate their point of view.
Nothing written anymore is taken at face value, everyone wants there to be underlying currents that may or may not be there that may or may not mean something but if it fits I’ll use it regardless.
For someone that reads these topics but rarely posts in them it is very difficult to post anything without being taken out of context or used in a way they were not meant to be but that is always the issue with the typed word rather than the spoken one and does make it very difficult to put ones thoughts and feelings up without the fact people are just going to misinterpret or plain ignore them.
Makes for a topic like this really.
Ok, I’m not privy to the communication that occurred so I’ll presume that it was a heart-felt request from you that prompted the admin to state that under no circumstance was any discussion about you allowed on the site. Absolutely no mention of lawyers or anything. I believe you.
Who suggested that all women were being deliberately forced out of game development? Or are you “adding extra stuff that isn’t there” and “reading what you want into the comment” winding up in a pointless derail to try and counter an argument nobody made?
Also nowhere is he oddly suggesting no harassment of women is happening, again you ready what you want in to the comment. Which sums up the whole thing really, anyone says something and anyone on the other side reads it and adds in extra stuff that isn’t there just to validate their point of view.
Apparently I read less into the comments than what was there. I did not anticipate the strawman.
I did infer from Kurina’s posts that harassment of women in gaming wasn’t really a thing or a big deal until GamerGate blew up. Rereading the posts it still seems to be the general intent. Sorry if I’m wrong but Kurina did not clarify anything especially after simply dismissing a bunch of really easy to find pre-GG stories of harassment.
Reemul- So basically you’re upset that people see through your bullshit? Tough life.
Alstein, for example here, has thankfully thrown away his facade of being “neutral” to more fully throat his support of GG. Hey, you still have those imaginary LGBT “friends” to use as a shield?
Assume. Badly, given the admin.

Don’t have a panic attack. It was a satirical comment intended to demonstrate how disproportionate diction like “misogynistic terrorism” is when we intuitively understand the actual scale and intensity of real terrorism vice the professional victim blazoning of an Anita.
I don’t have panic attacks. I do have incredulous reactions to disparaging comments about someone whose opinion you (apparently) disagree with implying that the only time said person would be worth watching is if they were getting their head cut off. You seem to be laboring under the delusion that your “satire” has a point worth making to the degree that it was worth saying in such a manner.
He didn’t say anything about beheading her, again, drop the hyperbole.
This was simply about immolating her in a cage.
Congratulations SJWs, your safe space ideology has now reached new heights by enforcing racial segregation.

I would have thought the best way to counter discrimination was demonstrating equality, shared goals, shared motives and likes by integrating all races in work and social spaces but I guess I’m just a genocidal shitlord.

Wow. If you were white, why would you want “equality” if this is what it would lead to? Equality has to benefit everyone, not just minorities for it to work.
It doesn’t have to benefit everyone equally, equality by its definition doesn’t since there is a disadvantaged group, but equality that dengrats or harms the majority will never work.
Wait a second here. This is a silly example of societal mores leading to racial segregation. First of all, this is from a blog, so it is an opinion piece at best. This is also a response to advertising of an event, not a report of how the event actually functioned. Are there any reports of violence against caucasians who attended the event? Also, these are university students. That is a very insulated environment that is a poor representation of society at large.
There is no slippery slope here, so you can put your traction devices away.
So the people who are receiving the best education in our societies, who will be expected to be our most productive members and our leaders, are being educated to approve of and support racism, prejudice, and segregation, and you don’t think that is a slippery slope?
I mean, I guess that is your prerogative.
Also, please remember your “First of all, this is from a blog,” comment if ever you try to link something from Huffington Post.
Yeah, the tweets linked provided the evidence this was underway, and this is the same London based academic culture that the no platforming letter was based on so this is just as much reporting on a thing as it is providing opinion.
This safe zone/right to be comfortable culture is so bad now there is a case of woman US law professor unable to use the word rape when lecturing on rape law due to students triggering and complaining/protesting about use of oppressive language.
Go on The Guardian today, and their are commenters below the article spelling rape, “r—” so as not to trigger anyone/themselves.
A few years ago obsessing over privilege and being hypersenstive and easily offended and acting as community thoughtpolice was limited to the more extreme academic cultures, now its present on well… video games forums.

That’s not great but it’s not like this isn’t simply a part of the university experience, there are plenty of ‘self selecting’ organizations. You don’t have frat boys queueing up the Women’s and Gender studies degrees, and everybody know it without saying it.
