And they personalize that hobby so hard that any criticism of an individual game, or the industry as a whole, is taken as a personal attack on THEMSELVES. Whacky, right? These people really caught the short end of the stick, they had all the social unpopularity of the pop culture “nerd” stock character, but without the commensurate academic success. So they often feel “robbed” by a society that doesn’t give them what they feel they deserve.

But it gets better. So some intelligent and educated person wrote an un-PC but inarguable on substance article about “Gamers Being Over”. Not only did this produce a 6 month campaign of self-pity and bullying, LOL, you’re gonna love this part: every time these fucking losers talk about that article, they change the title to “Gamers are Dead”!!! I know, wild stuff.

Certainly nothing happening with any of this crap approaches the types of violent acts of terrorism normally associated with the term. I believe that nothing has progressed beyond simple threats at this point.

Yet, at the same time, the perpetrators are still committing acts of terrorism. Weak, mostly empty threats, without any real action behind them at all. But their ultimate tactic is similar, in that they are attempting to manipulate people through threat of violence.

Although, your pointing out that none of it even approaches what most would consider “real” terrorism, (mainly because they don’t seem capacity of actually committing any violent acts, since that would likely result in their own death or punishment) highlights the idea that people actually taking them seriously and actually bowing to their demands is even more ridiculous. They should just be ridiculed, and then ignored.
