You don’t have to be on the chans to have been sourced from them. That wasn’t what that claim was at all. Rather that Alexander Marcais, a.k.a. Archon, went to the Gamergate chans to ask for developers he should interview. Or do you really think it is a coincidence that RougeStar, whom most had never heard of, got the call instead of others.
As for the disastrous bit? Well the general way things were conducted, framed and handled was disastrous. And questions in many cases were extremely loaded or slanted.
Which is all their choice, but don’t try and pretend that it wasn’t pushing an agenda. It nearly caused me to stop supporting The Escapist right then and there, were it not for the talent they still hosted.
Fair enough. Though, in my case, my interview was given some weeks earlier. It was only later put together as part of a series.
I can respect not appreciating an agenda. That’s kind of the issue at hand. People being tired of game sites having an agenda and then being accused of being misogynists for not supporting said agenda.

Not everything is about you, your experiences don’t automatically negate / support / whatever others’ experiences are, and most of this doesn’t even involve you in any way in the first place except for when you insert yourself into the drama.
Flesh this analogy out. What “party” did AS “turn up” at? She made Youtube videos, you didn’t have to watch them. So in this I guess you asked your uncle’s opinion and you disagreed and then called in a bomb threat at his job. Or something.
You actually get close to it, though. “Intruding on fun time”=“video games are my retreat from a world I do not understand and am not successful with”, right? Certain people LIKE the toxic cesspool of gaming culture, it is explicitly where you can go to avoid intellectuals, academics, feminists, etc. and now it’s like they followed you. Where, oh where, can a socially awkward white male go where he can say whatever the fuck he wants without fear of being contradicted?
Timex claimed that Alexander’s article was like a bully wading into a safe space losers had carved out for themselves. That’s why it’s so hard for any of the pro-#GG posters to actually explain what they are mad about(or even admit that they are pro-GG), actually articulating the claim that “gaming culture” BELONGS to shitty racist MRAs concedes the entire affair.
And a second part of it, I guess, is that after retreating to this tiny subculture allowed them to deludethemselves into thinking that they are normal, that the mainstream would obviously hate ZQ and AS for [reasons not found]…
This whole #GG affair has been a big ole’ ball of reality served up piping hot. “Nerd” celebrity icons like Whedon and Colbert were stridently anti-GG, nerd publications like Cracked have been hard on GG(through the magic of being objective and not falling into that faux equivalence bullshit)…
It should be sobering, but instead we see the result of incoherent ragey flailing.
Brad Wardell isn’t just the biggest dev to come out as pro-GG, he’s practically the only one. It’s like election night 2012 all over for him.

Thanks to GamerGate for making it twitter incredibly annoying for following GDC developments on twitter this year.
I like keeping the hashtags (#GDC2015 #GDC15) open over the course of the day during GDC, lots of clues to things I’ve miss completely if I just read summaries. And there’s a ton of cool stuff this year. I rarely use twitter, never been tweeted at by anyone in GamerGate, never even considered using any blocklist never mind the GamerGate one. And I’m about 5 minutes away from installing the GG autoblocker purely as a spam filter because GamerGate is making following GDC so annoying.
Escapist interviews were brought up. I was one of those interviews. I realize my first hand experience is inconvenient for your world view but it is what it is.
You like to represent your opinions as facts. It’s a habit that you would do well to break.
Hahahaha oh my god, suddenly “first hand experience” IS important. When it’s a woman complaining about the industry, well, the internet is stuffed to the brim with white dudes eager to tell her that there is no gender problem in tech.
But when we’re talking about an interview that ended up requiring multiple post-publication revisions, including removing one of the subjects because they(allegedly, best cause) inadvertently provided a credulous platform to the worst of the harassers, let no one tell Brad it was anything other than a smashing success. Objectively, nobody contradicted his insane victimhood story about his sexual harassment lawsuit, ergo, GOOD JOURNALISM.

It has to be a filesystem that guarantee integrity against corruption of data. To do so, odds are their are using a filesystem with a journal system, so changes are not immediately applied to the fisical support, but stored in a queue and applied atomically, so each state of the filesystem is integral and not corrupt.
I bet they use ReiserFS, because is the best at partitioning and never lose fragments. This is the base of Good Journalism.

This is true.
When you are downloading Farmville or Candy Crash from the Google Play store, it ask if you are a women, and if you say yes, you are only allowed the time limited beta version.
Also, theres another checkbox for if you are gay or a black person. If you say yes to either, the app store crash.
So yes, womens have restricted access to games. They can’t download all the games males can download.
