The link betwen feminism and marxist is obvious and historical. The communist fighted to free the workers, both the male and female. Initially communism was a progressive force, so they quickly had womens in all placed of society, on factories, on the army, even on mines :D
I could see why somebody could be so intellectually dishonest about this. Communism is still the big evil in USA. Americans have lots of funny ideas about communism, for them is like Evul. So cute. So you don’t want to get associated with marxist, like at all, ever. But it does have a enormous influence, things like changing the language to change the mind (NewSpeak) is a basical marxist strategy based on marxist philosophy. When you try people to not use some words and to use other words, you are using marxist theory, you know it or not. Universalism is another interesting marxist idea, the idea that the people on the trenches fighting each another to dead have more in common than with the people on the nice houses on the capital drinking champaing and going around in expensive cars and fucking hot womens.
The idea that only right wing people can link feminism to marxist is dumb and make us all poorer.
People tend to conflate Communism as a whole with Stalinism.
It’s annoying - and I’m no form of Communist or even Socialist! (I’m a Mutualist, and oppose Marxism for entirely different reasons. Also communism isn’t for me, by direct experience)

The funny thing is, when this all blows over, there will be more women in games (development etc) and games will get better and better (probably because of that), and we will all win and look back on this as… what the fuck were we doing?
This is business, people vote with their wallets. Nobody is going to stop you from making the next great game, stop arguing about how the industry isn’t what you want and man(woman) up and fucking make a change for god’s sake. The crazy people will get arrested and the sane people will buy/not buy a game.
