Quinn’s ex was a complete and utter tool for doing what he did. I did not bother reading the article after skimming suggested it was mostly from his perspective. What does that piece achieve other than dragging all this dredge up again?

It tells his side of the story, but it’s not at all “in his corner” so to speak.

Also, it’s entirely possible that he comes off as a nutcase because he was kind of acting like a nutcase.

It was obviously pro-Quinn. For example:

The author practically compared Gjoni to a terrorist. If this had been written by Adam Baldwin, we would probably have been treated to a nauseating comparison to Woodward and Bernstein instead.
Not that I have any sympathy for Gjoni. Because, as noted above, he really is a nutcase.
Yeah, what Magnet said. It’s a pretty good write-up of what happened, but the terms and phrases the author uses to describe the two sides are quite telling.
Gjoni has a “slinking obsession”, he has “detonated [his post] with ruthless force and efficiency, for maximum pain and harm”, he writes a “screed” full of “cruelty”, he “stokes the mob”.
By contrast, Quinn… well, the article doesn’t go out of its way to praise her that much, but unlike Gjoni’s stuff, it lays out her actions and past in very neutral terms.
And I hope I didn’t come off as trying to defend Gjoni - he’s a loon. I think he will (justifiably) look back on his actions of the past year with shame and a great deal of regret when/if he ever grows up.
I really wish I’d never heard of either of those creeps.

I’d pretty much gotten that he was a nutcase, the article pounded that home pretty well. The most shocking thing about it was that apparently he has a new girlfriend now. I can’t imagine being a female and getting into a relationship with a guy with his recent history.
I’m blown away that people in his life were like “yeah dude publish it, get your demons out!”
I mean, even if you have an uncharitable view of Quinn, that is some next-level shit.
The GG lot had a meet up in DC last night, and having failed in their attempts to shame the bar into cancelling the “hate rally” the SJWs (mainly a group based around Arthur Chu) actually ended up phoning in bomb threats.
Of course, seeing the meet up consisted of balanced adults (and a rather diverse group of course) rather than safe space obsessed, hysterical, easily terrified (wo)manchildren, the threats were ignored and the meet continued without any further drama.
I haven’t seen any messages about the posts/article above in the GG streams (really, the Quinn obsession is more or less unique to the SJWs these days), its mainly the DC meetup, issues around conventions (shenanigans in Calgary) and proteinworld and whatever outrage twitterstorm is on at the moment.
They can’t be that balanced, they still think GG is a thing. What did this handful of diehards acheive? Did they figure what GG is actually about yet?

They achieved getting drunk and having a laugh by the looks of things. Not sure the true diehards were there. I’ve seen the “Gamergate Ultras*” pop up here and there recently, one was shitposting racist Baltimore memes in the week, not sure any of those guys could handle a social situation in a bar with 3D women present and what have you.

Before I start believing this, I’d want to see this go beyond the pro-GG media, sourced. I know how I feel about both these groups, as such neither of them have any credibility with me.
2 SJW bomb threats in a week, the first being against Protein World, a fitness supplement company who used a bikini model in a advert and triggered Tumblrinas all over London.
Why aren’t SJWs condemning and apologising for this reign of terrorist bomb threats that they are responsible for? Each and every Tumblr user should be held personally accountable for these atrocities.

Well, they were bomb threatened then, I see nothing that concretely links this to Arthur Chu though. That’s what you need investigation for.
Nah just finger pointing, pre-event twitter hysteria and emails to the bar from Chu and what have you. It requires little or no effort for someone to get a Euro buddy to phone in, unregistered PAYG mobe or VOIP via a proxy or any combination thereof so unless someone was stupid they’ll never know.
Not as if there was any evidence linking the threats that Wu, etc. indicated they were receiving to GG or any individuals either. That guilt was just assigned because it was desirable.
It’s pretty absurd how trolls saying mean things online is considered “tearing someone’s life apart!!” despite it now becoming their primary means of financial support, while people making actual bomb threats and disrupting every attempt for people with different political views to peacefully meet and associate =marginalized and dismissed, not similarly reported.
