While all of us may veer to the polemical at times in P&R the difference between the two is that Zak actually attempts to contribute content and flesh out his beliefs/opinions. From the start Busbecq just sniped from the sidelines.

I blocked him months ago around the time he told me I didn’t volunteer enough or cure world hunger so I shouldn’t speak about other things. Bravo to those who had more patience than i do to deal with that.

Just an FYI, that article isn’t just on Time’s website. It’s also in their printed magazine which is why it’s getting more attention I think. A few people mentioned it at work too.

I saw that one today and have no idea too. Something to do with nerdcore. Not the music genre, but something else that appeared out of one of those “techfest” (i.e business conferences) in the last few days. Special nerd porn “nerdcore” trains gamer nerds to rape or something. Postmodernist gibberish preached to a choir of fools.

I have no idea how that equates to someone coming out of left field with an unprovoked attack and I’m frankly not interested in hashing it out in this thread. My suggestion was just that it wasn’t unprovoked as Zak even admitted he was trolling to provoke, but I certainly don’t feel Zak did anything that deserves reporting or any other action and respect your desire to not further rehash the point and to impose consequences for personal attacks. So, dropped.

I like Zak’s posts, I might not agree with some of it but it makes an interesting read. Some of the stuff in the Greek topic has been good.

You can’t have decent discussions without having both sides posting even if some of their stuff is disagreeable.
