I won’t excuse her hostile words entirely. People retort angrily when they are, well angry. It’s not unheard of after all, Fish for example amongst a dozen others. I have, however, been on the receiving end of people telling me I had a bad video card, on a computer that doesn’t actually have one. My favorite though was when some CSR tried to explain to me that my computer was drained once… which is why it worked and then suddenly stopped. You see after awhile, computers just drain themselves… get worse. Of course by the time, I knew they were full of shit, especially when I asked them what exactly was drained. Anyway, I am just curious if his reply made sense or not. Either way, it would be nice if people were nicer to each other and stopped twitter pasting every argument too.

I’d think because aside from Sarkeesian, she’s the other celebrity. Makes her very visible, and since she’s prone to saying some pretty outlandish shit it makes a good “Look at this! This is how crazy they all are!” target. Anita is pretty composed and doesn’t lose her shit when disagreed with. Since the GG party line is that feminists are “No discussion, no disagreement, you’re wrong, fuck off.” and Wu is the very personification of this attitude, she’s the default GG face of anti-GG.

It makes sense in an unfortunate way. Someone should encourage her to get off the stage.

I think that might be because those people are more in the audience and less on the stage. As Aszurom said, Wu is a celebrity figurehead the GGers associate with the extreme end of the SJW scale. Someone in our forum would probably be virtually unknown outside of this forum.
