Objective Game Reviews is a satirical site :)

So I learned. Seems like a lot of trouble for a joke site, but kudos to them for the effort.

Um, the Blizzard CEO didn’t denounce GG. He denounced the same behavior that all of the GG folk have been denouncing - people who troll and harass others. In fact, when interviewed by Keighley who tried to associate his comments with GG, the CEO clearly wasn’t comfortable with that association - he had a broader point - trying to stop people from being shitty to one another over games.

So it’s particular sad that anti-GG jerks have coopted his statement to harass and attack people whom they disagree with - using his statement to do exactly what he was trying to put a stop to.

I’m not referring to this thread necessarily- which has been the most reasonable thread of this I’ve seen anywhere. No one has made me want an ignore button. I’m referring to the internet in general, and both sides are guilty of ally or enemy type behavior.

The GG folks and the anti-GG folks are all coming out of this looking like a bunch of douchebags.

This might be the funniest thing I have ever seen

This is a war. A war of the dialectics.

Socrates vs. Hegel cage match! Two dialectics enter, only one leaves!

Alrighty then. I’m sure he didn’t use that picture when he made the claim of course.

(Before anyone goes stupid, yeah, Blizzard probably won’t have her pole dancing or humping the 4th wall. It’s funny, nothing more.)

That world needs a freakin’ chiropractor.

It’s not really that funny, and it misrepresents the actual article.

However, even in the context of Overwatch, which represents a good number of different races, nationalities, and sexes, Metzen admitted that “there’s a lot of room for growth.” And to be fair,Overwatch’s women are mostly super slim and clad in cat suits, so… yeah. (That’s not to say they aren’t great characters, nor that a game shouldn’t have some sexy characters. I just agree with Metzen: there’s room to grow.)

You’re right. It was a different picture, but of the same character and… er… from a slightly different perspective.

Edit: AlanQ beat me to it! And with less smarm.

Depends how you define “anti-GG” folks. I’m pretty damn anti GG but I don’t go crazy about it on the interwebs and realize it’s futile to engage with crazies so outside of this thread I largely leave the topic alone. I strongly suspect I’m part of a silent majority on that one.

Aside from how generic the idea seemed, the second thing I noticed is that the female characters don’t vary in body type, height or size probably more than say 5% from each other… then you look at the other characters and suddenly we have creativity.

Well, GamerGate is over…

I guess it’s time to boycott Twitter.

Just goes to show what a fanatic SJW he is I suppose.

looks like someone beat me to it. Not that I need to ask, but guess which group the female characters fall into.

I’m starting to feel unliked. Ya know, for being born. But that’s not genderist or racist because I’m that one sort. Hrm.

Kotaku, you say?

Am I not allowed to say this is probably not ok?

Hrm… I don’t see any dinosaurs in that picture.

Let’s see if anybody remembers the rules. It has been a decade since we played the dinosaur game.
