I know, all those uppity bitches should just learn their place, amirite?

You’re embarrassing yourself. Great achievement should not be a free pass for bad behaviour. Try to act like you have a lick of common sense.

Completely agree.

These people version of feminist is about feminism as much ISIS is about religion.

I don’t blame any or all feminist for this. I like to think of myself as a feminist person. But theres obviusly some people for where the term “Feminazi” is completely correct and thats can’t be tolerated. Is not the cause you are defending, is how you do it. And this is not how you defend feminism, at all… this is more like how hate groups act in public. Something I would expect of westboro baptist church, or some neo-nazi group, not the feminism sphere.

My femnism is routinelly offended. but is when I read that some 14 years old girl family has ben beheaded yesterday by ISIS, or some women in india has ben killed by his family after being bangrapped. My feminism is not offended by a t-shirt. No person is damaged by that t-shirt, having that ugly t-shirt is withing some person freedom.

I can’t stress enough how much I want to slap some morons faces to see if they get a fucking clue.

This shit just makes me despair for humanity. How can people so utterly lack perspective, judgment and common sense? Are you truly that unable to discern? There was no “bad behavior”

Right back at you. The scientific accomplishment can be lauded without ignoring or dismissing inappropriate behaviour. In fact I would say looking at the news there are way way WAY more articles about the comet landing and various aspects of it than about the shirt.

Try to have some perspective and common sense.

" inappropriate behaviour" is a repulsive NewSpeak.

Learn tolerance, please. Something can be disgusting, and at the same time, completely OK.

“Learn to tolerate my disgusting/sexist/racist behavior” is one of the more odious rhetorical tactics the right has become so very fond of lately.

Exhibit 74332 for why I’d rather defend the dude who landed a spaceship on a comet traveling 75,000 mph instead of people like you, who write and think in such vile terms. Look at what you’ve become, jesus. Just take a step back and try to regain perspective.

Cool so I guess my workplace should be totally cool if I watch hardcore porn on my work computer in the middle of the office. In the nude.

Sometimes the left looks like the right, it’s all a matter of perspective.

You are absolutely right. After all, that feminist condemnation of our sexual predator former president and his enabling “bimbo eruption” quelling wife should be coming along any day now.

Look at what you’ve become. Quivering with faux-outrage as you defend the indefensible. Even the guy who actually WORE the shirt doesn’t agree with you.

You are the one who lacks perspective. For you, the smallest and most easily resolved incidents becomes A HORRIBLE OUTRAGE affront to your masculinity, blown completely out of proportion.

You truly are the Dawn Falcon of the right.

There’s room in the middle for this issue.

It’s not an appropriate shirt for an interview about one of man’s greatest space exploration achievements. Regardless of whether or not you think it’s offensive, or unwelcoming to females in STEM fields, or whatever, the biggest issue is that the shirt is distracting and tacky. It’s makes the interview about him instead of the achievement. If the guy was being interviewed at a bar for serving the best pounders in the tri-state area, then more power to that shirt. He’s not though. He’s speaking on behalf of a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians regarding the amazing event of landing a craft on a comet. I can’t even do that in Kerbal Space Program. Props to him and the people involved, but that shirt is a hideously bad choice for that interview.

He gave his apology and it sounded sincere. I think people can move on from there.

I think you’ll find that most Democrats wanted Bill Clinton to apologize for his affair and his ensuing mistakes, but otherwise liked him as a president and were able to move on after he apologized. Likewise, no liberal media outlet was calling for the physicist to be fired, for a boycott, or anything other than an apology.

In fact, now that he has apologized it’s the right that’s keeping the story alive, astonishingly out of concern for what happens if his name is Googled. I’m sure he appreciates your efforts.

I wasn’t aware that Clinton forced himself on anyone. Are some of us now confusing feminism with a hatred of all sexual activity?

Your tedious small-minded puritanism offends human dignity.

Wow, I feel so powerful!

The sad thing is that I don’t think Desslock is trolling. “Look at what you’ve become” indeed.

I like that you have managed to go beyond “anyone who disagrees with me must actually just be trolling” and ascended to “it’s possible for people to hold different opinions on the same controversy.”

This thread is full of people who disagree with each other. “Despairing for humanity” seems to be unique to Desslock.

Bahahhahahaha, like that’s gonna happen.
