Given that Storm of Swords is going to be split into multiple seasons, and there are many points that could break the stories . . . this trailer makes me think some story lines are going farther than I thought . . . (In particular, Jon Snow and Ygritte with a bound prisoner old man)

So, here’s a quick theory as to how the season will be broken up. Amazingly SPOILERIFIC

I’d link that in the Season 3 Spoiler Thread

Also, it’s pretty terrible analysis. Just looking at the episode titles and you know he’s totally wrong about where Dany’s story ends.

We are in the spoiler thread, no?

And this: http://www.quartertothree.com/game-talk/showthread.php?64212-Games-of-Thrones-on-HBO-(no-spoilers!)&highlight=spoiler&p=3246542#post3246542 - Is the no spoiler thread.

This is a spoiler-heavy thread for the most part. I would not read this thread at all if I hadn’t read all of the books.

Emilia Clarke is the new Holly Golighty in the upcoming Broadway adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffanys. They held their first preview performance and apparently the crowd all busted out their cell phones and took photos when she got naked and in a bathtub on stage. But here’s a lovely photo and article from the NY Times on her.

And Mother Jones did a great email interview with D&D on Season 3

If Anna Kendrick wasn’t already your dream girlfriend/fiancee/wife, then this will put her over the top. Her house sigil is awesome.

The Television Academy held an Emmy panel this evening with much of the cast, D&D, and GRRM. It’s two hours long, and much of it is a hoot, especially Dinklage. Spoiler safe, and you can watch it here. (You’ll need to fast-forward about 7-8 minutes early on, as they didn’t webcast the recap and trailer.)

Anna Kendrick is awesome - if you havent already seen her in the Glee-type movie Pitch Perfect, its very worth it if you enjoy fun, liberty and freedom.

The customer reviews for the $30,000 full-sized Iron Throne from the HBO Store are pretty funny.

Hey, remember Lord Greatjon Umber?

A former actor in BBC medical drama Casualty has had part of his ear bitten off at a Newcastle Travelodge.

Clive Mantle, who also stars in US drama Game of Thrones, was attacked at the Foster Street hotel in a dispute over noise, his agent said.

The 55-year-old had finished a run in The Ladykillers at the Theatre Royal. The ear has been sewn back on.

A 32-year-old man from Hamilton in South Lanarkshire has been charged with wounding with intent.

He will appear before magistrates next month following the attack in the early hours of Sunday.

A spokesman for Mr Mantle’s agent, London-based Sarahband Associates, said surgeons at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary had managed to sew the top part of the actor’s right ear back on.

He said he believed Mr Mantle was pinned to the floor in the hotel and attacked after asking other guests to keep the noise down.

He said: "He is very shaken and shocked by what has happened, you don’t expect this kind of thing to happen in a hotel.

“The part of the ear that was bitten off was found and sewn back on. Mr Mantle said the police, ambulance and hospital staff were amazing.”

It’s too bad it wasn’t the actor playing the Goat. That would have been uber-Method acting.

Heh, and the Greatjon himself is known to bite ears when necessary.

Here’s a 30-second TV spot that should get you pumped up.

Ohhh…want!

I tried finding some in my supermarket last night; guess they haven’t reached Seattle yet.

After two controversial attempts by the NY Times to review Game of Thrones (the first season was reviewed by a woman who stated in print that no self-respecting woman would ever want to watch a fantasy show and the second season was reviewed by a different critic who sounded really offended that he had to review a nerd show), the Paper of Record™ finally found a critic who literally didn’t openly sneer at having to review a fantasy show. He didn’t hate it, but he thinks it’s just okay. Congrats, NY Times. You’re finally coming around.

They should be in Seattle by the end of this week I believe, if your place serves Ommagang they should have some. The’re big individual bottles and are $9.99 each (at Whole Foods) so they’re not where the four-/six-packs generally are. They were supposed to hit California on 3/27 so that’s why I went looking. The idea was to have them distributed throughout the US by the season premiere.
