Maggy the Frog! And the Sand Snakes. I know I’m in the minority on this, but I really enjoy the Dornish as a faction.

They’re scouting locations in Andalusia, Spain, which is widely believed to be for Dorne.

Woa! Why would you think you are in the minority? I think Dorne is definitely one of the more popular places and storylines in the books!

I think that you are forgetting that Sansa basically is a child. She’s only like 13 or 14 at this point. That isn’t very mature. Even though all her experiences have probably hardened her, it seems likely that she could get really upset at something so petty.

Sansa is 16 in the show at this point. The show has aged the characters more reasonably than GRRM has.

She herself claimed to be 14 on her wedding night with Tyrion, I don’t think two years passed since then.

I can’t be the only one that thinks Oberon looks just like an Hispanic Burt Reynolds.

You are.

You racist bastard.

Strange to think that Burt Reynolds was literally the #1 movie star in the world for 5 years running once.

Whatever

Thank you, Harkonis. This has been killing me. The mustache, the smirk… if GoT were filming 40 years ago he would have to be Oberyn.

There’s a very obvious resemblance there. What do we know about Burt Reynolds’ ethnic background? He might have come up during a time when he had to change his name and all that, like Rita Hayworth and Anthony Quinn (although obviously he’s younger than that generation was).

Jesus. I did not need to see that.

What the fuck did I just watch!!!

Wow, I did not think they would go that graphic. The teeth flying out, then the squeezing and the shrieking. Insane.

Very good episode even without the obvious climax at the end. Loved Sansa finally coming into her own in the game, and poor Hound and Arya on the road again. I really felt for Jorah, those scenes were great and his pain was obvious on the actors face. Poor Prince Oberyn. Loved his acrobatic fighting style. My wife was like “why does this show kill all the interesting people and leave the ones I could care less about alone?”. Yes dear, welcome to the last 15 years of my book-reading life…

Man. That was a fucking hardcore ending. My wife, not having read the books, is constantly wanting to stop watching as the show kills people she is invested in. Tonight was more of that.

Sansa was the big surprise; wow she is turning into… something. She totally rocked that dress at the end, too.

Arya’s laughing was pretty damn funny. And we got another scene with Tyrion and Jaime; I don’t care what anyone says, everything with these two guys in character is wonderful.

But yeah, super hardcore with Oberyn. Yikes.

edit: I was surprised however they didn’t get anywhere near the thing about him using poison.

Wonderful performance from Pedro Pascal, and he went out with a bang… sorta. I thought the episode didn’t give the duel enough heft, though. I would have threaded in the combatant’s preparations throughout the episode. Actually, what I would have done is filmed a three minute silent film with the Mountain and interspersed it throughout the episode, to give the fight some more build up.

That was intensely gruesome.

I am pretty sure we will see the effects of the Viper’s handiwork soon enough.
