My guess is that at the end of the day, Bran Stark, uber_Warg, will be able to set that all straight when it counts.

Getting Bran, Dany, and the dragons all in the same place at the same time will be a trick. She’s undoubtedly going to head for the capital, assuming she makes it that far. She’ll also be using those dragons immediately. Unless they just fly away and head north, which I don’t see why they would, Bran will never see them. Maybe Bran will hear of the dragons, Hodor will carry him south far enough to ‘reach’ them, then he’ll wargjack the dragons and they’ll ride them back into the north.

It usually correlates with the DVD release date.

When are they going to release the Season 4 DVDs? :)

It seems the show will pass withouth Team Zombie. Maybe is a decission made based on how gritty they want to make the world. IMHO the point of westeros is that is going to hell, even before the white walkers start his attack. Its sort of like a “fall of the Empire” before the barbarians attack. If we don’t see how farmers are not farming, granaries are burning, womens are raped, childrens are stabed in the stomach, the rivers flow with a constant stream of dead bodies, the crows are festing in masive murders, and so on… this is not the westeros I know from the book, but some happy lalala, where people can continue his normal life ignoring war.

New cast members announced at ComicCon.

We’re getting Alexander Siddig at last!

And Jonathan Pryce (the Infiniti guy–of course that dates me)!

He was also a Bond villain. That probably dates me even more.

Dr Julian Bashir is Dornan! Coooool.

I wonder why they recast Myrcella?

OMG, I’d almost forgotten about GoT - I was so exhausted after the obsessive hysteria of last season I just stopped thinking about it when it was over. This clip has made me goosebumpy all over again! Looks like great casting for all the new characters, especially Siddig as Doran, and the Sand Snakes, I’m already in love with Tyene :)

There’s a whole lot of Sands…

He was shilling Infiniti’s at least a decade before he was riffing off Rupert Murdoch in that Bond movie.

My guess is that they probably felt like the previous actress wasn’t going to cut it, just like they recast Tommen last year. That actress had like 1 or 2 lines total in the first 2 seasons, and suddenly they needed someone to do heavier lifting.

@gurugeorge: Tyene’s the one with the short hair, right (the one who’s in the still for the YouTube video). I am similarly afflicted if so.

BTW re: Pryce- he was a Bond villain after his stint as an Infiniti spokesman IIRC.

I was slightly off. He signed a huge contract with Infiniti around 1993. Tomorrow Never Dies was 1997. So, half a decade.

So it looks like Arianne and Quentyn all got rolled into Trystane, at least if the press release calling him the “Heir” to Dorne is accurate. I’ll withhold my judgement until I’ve seen what they do with it on screen, and merely say that it is their first major departure in the way of completely removing people with PoV chapters. Perhaps they are re-casting Myrcella and actually giving her a bit of agency in her storyline as opposed to the book version. Also, if Ellaria Sand is coming back next season she can do most of the Arianne stuff, albeit with different motivations.

Also, no Greyjoys or Jon Connington in sight. But it didn’t say this list is final. I see how with Ellaria Sand and three Sand Snakes you can cut Arianne, and Quentyn was kind of useless anyways, but I do think Euron and Griff/Young Griff probably need to be in. But maybe not until season 6, or maybe not at all. It isn’t a full casting list so I suppose we’ll wait and see.

tl;dr: More questions than answers with the casting update.

GRRM isn’t writing an episode for Season 5. Says he needs to focus on Winds of Winter. And he’s not booking any new trips, including any trips to the set for a cameo. He’s only going to go on the trips he already agreed to do, many of them years ago.

And he did give a spoiler for the prologue.

Jeyne Westerling is in it, but not as the POV. Wheh.

Oh, shit, I hadn’t seen that news and now my mind is whirling about the POV possibilities, with one main guess in mind. . .a dark swimmer.

For me, Pryce’s two most memorable roles were Brazil (1985) and Glengarry Glen Ross (1992).

That is my guess as well. Makes sense geographically. Sucks for that swimmer though unless GRRM is changing his policy regarding prologue PoV survival %.
