The fascinating implications of this tidbit from the TWoW POV chapter is

[spoiler] which Jeyne Westerling is in the POV chapter?

If it is the “Jeyne” we saw in ADwD (who may well not have been Jeyne at all) then “Jeyne” is with her “Mother” and the Lannister guards accompanying Edmure to Casterly Rock. It also suggests that the POV character may well be Edmure, which… doesn’t sound encouraging for Edmure, given that the character who appears in every POV in the novels always dies.

The death of Edmure will leave Roslin and Edmure’s unborn baby as the only thing which stands in Sansa’s was to lay claim over the Riverlands, the North and the Vale. If Edmure dies, with Littlefinger by Sansa’s side planning to use Sansa as his pawn to seize the Iron Throne, I don’t think Roslin Tully (nee Frey) is going to be a mother for long."[/spoiler]

No. “Dark Swimmer” would be the clue for the character if this were a relatively easy Game of Thrones crossword puzzle. Don’t know how to do spoilers on this forum, but the character you referred to has an uncle. He’s being referenced.

Unfortunately sad news from the start of filming, where actor J.J. Murphy, who had just started to play Ser Denys Mallister, died over the weekend at the age of 86.

I’ve read some conflicting reports about re-casting him, where I could have sworn one of the two showrunners saying they would not.

If he shot all his scenes, they could still use the footage. That, or they could rewrite the scenes.

The actress who played Old Nan died before Season 1 premiered. They kept all her scenes, but basically retired the character.

I’m just watching until Season 3 Episode 8, having read all the books, and I must say this TV series is simply amazing and quite true to the books. Looks like I can’t wait till Season 4 goes on sale and probably will have to buy the Season 5 pass. I don’t know how you all could wait every week!

Hehehe, great stuff. Interesting that they seem to be hinting at Jon and Dany as the main throne contenders for the season (I sense howls incoming from the Stannis camp).

It also looks like it’s already going to be scooting somewhere past the books (although there’s still time for GRRM to surprise us all and release simultaneously with the show - I have a strong suspicion that’s exactly what he’s going to do :) ).

Except his UK publisher has said that 2015 is not the year we’ll see Winds be published. So unless she’s yanking chains to setup a big surprise. . . .

Never gonna happen. Best case scenario he probably gets one more book out before the series ends so its going to be on the show runners ideas which I’m perfectly fine with based on the work done so far.

You know, I just realize that the “buy game of thrones season pass set to be available on 16 Feb 2015” featured in iTunes is actually season 4!!! What?! I was hoping of catching up so I can finally join your discussion (I don’t have HBO!) but seriously, wtf! No wonder people pirates it (referring to GoT being most torrented show last year!) I can’t believe it. I was so convinced what’s shown in the front page of iTunes was Season 5!

If season 3 and 4 is for Book 3, then season 5 would be Book 4. There’s still a good two seasons to go before Book 6, so why would GRRM rushed it?
