Not even for a nanosecond.
Glover was also in Indy and the Last Crusade and the Chamber of Secrets.

I’m doing a re-read along with the episodes which is both good and bad. Good because I’m catching a ton of details I had forgotten and bad because I’m noticing much more how much they are cutting. Not sure whether to continue with my re-read. It is definitely a different experience reading the chapters and watching the show at the same time.

Well, when you have a blog that predicts the future, that isn’t that impressive.
The ratings went up from 2.2 million for the first airing for last week’s episode to 2.4 million for the first airing of this week’s episode, and you have to figure the West Coast ratings took a massive hit with Obama’s announcement of the Bin Laden news and and the euphoria around the country. I couldn’t stop watching the news that night. Add in the 11pm repeat and it’s up to 3.1 million.
That’s Game of Twilight. Totally different book. Team Eddard or Team Jaime?

Where you getting your numbers from?
I will echo all of the Arya and her Dance Teacher love. Great scene.
As as reader, my favorite epsidode. My wife’s favorite so far too. She read the first book a long time ago and has forgotten most of it. Before this episode she was intrigued, but she is hooked. She loved the Arya stuff most of all. Kept asking me if she has a good life, because she knows MANY do in this series do not. I have given vague answers…
I got this from Deadline Hollywood
It’s been a few years since I last read any of the books, so a lot of the changes they’ve made in adaptation fly right past me. They’re doing a great job at hitting the highlights and rekindling memories of them, though. I’m really looking forward to some things coming to pass, and seeing the reactions of the non-readers over in that sensitive non-spoiler thread.
I laughed when Catelyn called Petyr her little brother.
Also, the Varys on the show is fucking perfect. God, he oozes that just-right combination of slimeball and fawning.
Petyr is going to give Tyrion a run for the money in the “line of the night” prize category… “Keep it to yourself. I have a reputation to maintain.”
Agree 101% on Varys and would like to add the word “unctuousness” to your oozery.

It’s possible to hate a character even if he’s well written. I liked Baelish at first, but he’s responsible for half the stuff going wrong in the kingdom at the moment. I really hope he meets an unpleasant end.
I didn’t care much for Littlefinger’s scene outside the brothel with Nedd.
First, I can understand why they did away with going out a secret door, down a cliff wall, riding along a disused riverbank, etc. – that would have been lots of largely wasted screen-time in an episode that already felt hurried. But it seemed like they just walked out the front gate of the keep and strolled over to a nearby brothel… and worse, Stark didn’t even need to be much convinced to do so.
Secondly, Petyr’s little aside after Nedd nearly choked him seemed to be a bit too glib and tacked-on. I guess I just don’t see Littlefinger as the type that throws out quips when no one is listening.

I read it as less of a quip and more of him making a note to himself.
What’s the deal with seasons in this show. Is winter like some kind of ice age. Is there planet in a different kind of solar system than earths so that some times their planet moves closer to the sun? Maybe a consequence of the second moon exploding and releasing dragon eggs?
Is this explained in the further books so far? I only finished the first one.
