Now I had to rewatch the first few minutes of Superman again. I know they’re just setting up the sequel, but I love how they devote so much screen time to this thing that has nothing to do with the main plot. (Both the insurrection trial, and the ‘Krypton is doomed!’ conversation following it, put me in mind of two very current political matters the discussion of which doesn’t however belong in this forum…)
