Tomorrow does not belong to this movie.

  1. Unwanted attention
  2. Appliances
  3. Surprisingly filmed on location
  4. Can art be too good?
  5. Draughts
  6. Problems with payroll

It’s a stretch, but that last clue led me to “Office Space.”

Well, that rules out Cabaret.

Rules out Annie! too, I think.

Wasn’t explicitly ruling them out, but now I am.

  7. Restroom misunderstandings

Now I have Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams in my brain impatiently waiting for me to decide which one can go next for the wrong guess.

Is it Tootsie?

Makeup effects for appliances, soap opera and other theatrics as art that is just too good, filmed around NYC, some drafty air unexpectedly blowing up a skirt…

In that case, I will just throw out Mrs. Doubtfire, just to cover Djscman’s bases.

No crossdressing in this one.

l am Cuba?

Not sure why that would be surprising.

I’m also not sure why it would be so surprising that Our Man In Havana was filmed on location, yet here we are.

Wasn’t it made and released before Castro took over? Or is it that the Cuban government let them film a movie that portrays them as a corrupt police state?

Winner!

It surprised me, anyway. It was filmed in the immediate aftermath of the revolution, which seems like a bold choice. Sure it doesn’t show the old regime in the best light, but it’s not exactly revolutionary propaganda either, despite Castro’s best efforts.. Guinness’s character is very petty bourgeois, as well.

I imagine that the fact it’s based on a Graham Greene book probably helped a lot.

After a short delay, we have a new movie to figure out:

  1. Seclusion
  2. Confession of sins
  3. Jailbreak
  4. A man who doesn’t talk at all
  5. A man who only wants to talk about politics

Sling Blade?

Not Sling Blade.

  1. A group of people in seclusion
  2. Confession of sins
  3. Jailbreak
  4. A man who doesn’t talk at all
  5. A man who only wants to talk about politics

I haven’t seen it, but could it be Down by Law?

O Brother Where Art Thou?
