See? I thought I was being reasonably obscure, then someone solves it immediately. It is Lost Highway.

Exactly, I hope that’s what he’s actually playing.

  1. Afterburner - it’s what John is playing when the T-1000 shows up. He starts out with something more Space Invaderish I think.

  2. Milk carton - John’s foster dad drink’s milk straight out of the carton while John is calling home after disappering and gets a blade to the face through said carton shortly thereafter.

  3. Twin gurads - The T-1000 takes on the appearance of a security guard in the mental hospital after imitating the floor for a bit and faces the original guard before treating him to a steel finger through the eye.

  4. Broken mop - One of the nurses in the mental hospital discovers a mop with a broken stick in a supply closet. He will take the other end of the stick to the knee shortly after, since this is the first weapon Sarah Conner has picked up after escaping her cell.

  5. Non remote detonation - The gang breaks into Cyberdine Systems. They intend to detonate their boatload of explosvies remotely, but the cops show up and Miles Dyson gets shot. He subsequently initates the explosion sitting next right next to barrels of ammonium nitrate.

Missile Command, to be precise. Anachronistic for early '90s (though some arcades might have had such a machine moldering in the corner) but of course suits the thermonuclear armageddon theme.

Thanks, that fits better for sure. Space Invaders would be a more appropriate anachronism for ID4.

  1. Back in town
  2. Bruises
  3. Psychedelics
  4. Falafel
  5. Fire

And here I thought this one would be way too easy…

  • Back in town
  • Bruises
  • Psychedelics for everyone
  • Falafel
  • Fire

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?

Not that.

  • Back in town
  • Bruises
  • Psychedelics for everyone
  • Falafel
  • Fire
  • Board meeting

Mayhem?

Wolf of Wall Street?

It’s neither of those

  • Back in town from the mountains
  • Bruises
  • Psychedelics for everyone
  • Falafel
  • Fire
  • Board meeting

Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy?

I had no idea this was a thing, so no.

  • Back in town from the mountains
  • Bruises
  • Disappearing act
  • Psychedelics for everyone
  • Falafel
  • Fire
  • Board meeting

Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me?

Nope45

Part of this reminds me of Big Night, but we’ve already done that one, haven’t we?

It’s not that, but at least in my opinion, it’s totally fine to do the same movie several times in this game if you don’t use the same clues.

  • Back in town from the mountains
  • Bruises
  • Disappearing act
  • Microwaves
  • Psychedelics for everyone
  • Falafel
  • Fire
  • Board meeting

That last clue immidiately (and always) makes me think of Gremlins. Doubt the rest fits though…

Falafel and microwaves seem specific enough that someone who saw the movie would recognize it. Maybe no one here did?
