Finally someone who gets it.

Once we pass the Stop Save Scumming for our Children Act, we can all put this madness behind us!

Just to let you know that Koni joysticks’ reknown was international, and in France we were actually excited by the prospect of that… well whatever it was. I seem to remember some crazy sit and stuff, not unlike what will be featured (much more humbly) in the similarly extravagant NEC accessory for the PC-Engine gamme.

And yet it’s quite mild for the country where Nintendo’s lobbying nearly made personal computers illegal not so long ago.

Political Gamers TV told BBC News it was “a new, growing patriotic gaming youth movement… here to defend the rights of gamers and games from the unfair treatment of male gamers coming from SJWs [social justice warriors], feminists and left-wing activists”.

LOL!! If someone else is footing the bill, why not? It’s literally free money. Just ask Chris Roberts.

I have been laughing at Ian Bell over his recently announced Mad Box console, and he’s pretty mad at me though.

Yeah, poor things… Wait…

Definitely the most important gaming issues.

I have no beef with Mr.Bell. I did lol at your (in my mind accurate) summary though.

As a graphics dev, I can safely say the only way that box is ever going to push 4K res in VR at any reasonable performance is if Jesus Christ himself came down and blew fairy dust over it.

I mean full 4K VR that doesn’t run like Douglas Bader? How? And if the “how” is answered (I look forward to it) then the “how much?” is going to be the logical next question to him :)

This must be some kind of Britishism I am unaware of. I mean, I know who Douglas Bader was, but “run like…?” I dunno, needs a big wing? Takes a long time to assemble after launch?

???

Ah sorry. Its a fairly common schoolboy Britishism from my generation at least. Bader was a fighter ace hero who had no legs.

So in the same way perhaps Americans might gently make Steve Wonder jokes about blindness (as he does) but in a fond manner, it was not uncommon for us to make Bader jokes about legs.

Perhaps not appropriate for these times but it was always meant in an admiring way.

I certainly am happy to withdraw it, if it offends. But the legend is he was always a good sport about it as well as courageous.

I don’t know who Douglas Bader is, is he related to Diedrich “two chicks at the same time” Bader?

Oh I get it! Like actually “run!” That makes sense. Yes, I knew he had no legs. For some reason I didn’t take “run” literally.

Is that the dude who was resistant to the G-forces that caused pilots of the era to temporarily black out from the blood being forced into their legs because my man had no legs?

Yeah sorry. I fell back into my school days there :)

Jesus, this is a wild story. Gearbox’s former general counsel Wade Callender is suing the company, accusing CEO Randy Pitchford of taking a secret $12 million bonus. He makes some outrageously serious allegations in his lawsuit:

Callender’s most lurid allegation against Pitchford is an accusation surrounding an event that he says occurred in 2014. Callender says that Pitchford left a USB drive in a Dallas, Texas restaurant containing sensitive corporate documents for Gearbox and its partners including 2K Games, Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and others. Says the lawsuit: “Upon information and belief, Randy Pitchford’s USB drive also contained Randy Pitchford’s personal collection of ‘underage’ pornography.”

Damn.

So, is there no priviledge or… I dunno.

A former Gearbox VP and Claptrap actor just tweeted this:

The general industry scuttlebutt about Pitchford has never been what you’d call laudatory.
