I agree Reed. I prefer the Gamespot scale. As you say, if they want to use stars, they absolutely should allow half-stars.

I also concur with Shadarr and Silverlight – a 60% is not three stars. I would say a three star game is probably around 72-75% – most reviewers translate three stars into “decent, but not great” and that’s not 60%. Two stars means “flawed, but may have some value for fans of the genre” which probably translates to mid-60’s to low 70’s. Anything under around 65% is probably a one star game. If you’re doing zero stars, that’s probably from 55% on down.
