My kids are on their last legs with their PlayStation Gold headsets. 16, 17 and 19 are the kids’ ages. These headsets lasted about two to three years for each of them which isn’t bad, but also isn’t great. I bought each for around $65 to $80 on sale which for wireless and apparently 5.1 headsets, is a very good price. They tend to break at the hinges where they fold. Not a fan of that.
I’m in the market for replacements for Christmas. I’m not sure the Gold ones are the best bet, and wired might be OK too. I like the idea of 5.1/7.1 again but most important would be microphone clarity, good sound quality and most important, decent longevity. They do use them at the PC also.
Any suggestions in the $50 to $100 price range that stand out?
