Gaming on Vista with 1GB of RAM?

So, I have the nice Vista Home Premium upgrade sitting here…but I only have 1GB of RAM. Should I pull the trigger now, or put more RAM in first? I want to be able to run Windows Aero with the pretty interface :).

It works with 1, but you’ll notice a nice improvement with 2. There’s no reason to wait, though.

1GB is fine for typical productivity and web browsing. You’ll want 2gb for non-casual gaming, though.

No reason to wait; it won’t hurt anything to add more RAM later.

Vista tip: If you have a USB flash drive (512MB or larger), plug it in. If it’s fast enough for ReadyBoost, you’ll get a noticeable speedup on 1GB systems.
