Drunken podcasts with lots of people are just annoying, regardless if some people manage to be more annoying than others. Glad that Garnet realized that and the Weekend Confirmed as remained alcohol free.
Jesus - does that woman have a volume setting less than shrieking harpy? Honestly, she doesn’t humiliate herself like that on The Brainy Gamer when she shows up there. I can only assume that after the apology tour she did last year they had to have gotten her fairly well liquored up before they even started recording (nipple slip around 30:00 implies that she might be a little bit in her cups), but that’s no excuse.
Jeff. Ryan. Brad. Vinny. Other dudes who were in the room. Please - I’m begging you - don’t do this again.
Yeah, Day 3 was really awful. It is sad, too, as they had some really interesting other guests. Those guests just couldn’t get a word in over Leigh. Once she left, there was a really great discussion. And I love Paul Barnett’s comparison of the Wii to a bread maker.
Just posted our post-E3 podcast. We liked XCOM. And OnLive.
Somehow our E3 wrap-up podcast wound up at two-and-a-half hours, and none of us were even at the convention. I’m still editing and I’m already sick of hearing myself talk about E3.

I’m surprised there was very little mention of Portal 2’s gameplay, only disappointment at the Valve announcement. Is it because you guys had seen that gameplay a while ago and didn’t really consider it “new”?
It was also confusing just how up and positive everyone was on OnLive. I mean, yeah, it’s interesting, but it’s all cross-platform games that are on console too. There’s nothing about OnLive that makes PC gaming more “accessible” that console gaming doesn’t already do, and a whole hell of a lot better. And you don’t need to pay $15/month + extra fees for what’s basically extended rentals to get it either.
That, and our guy that had played the most of it (Tim Edwards, PCG UK) is in a different time zone. I’ll get Logan to talk more about it later this week though, thanks for the remind.
I turned it off after 10 mins when she was howling over the English guy. I knew it wouldn’t get any better.

With Deus Ex’s tenth anniversary I saw a link to this podcast:
http://game-central.org/2010/podcasts/gcp-episode-93/
So far so good. Whole episode on Deus Ex, and the Nameless Mod designer is a guest.
The last Bombcast takes the award for line of the year so far.
They were talking about getting the E3 sniffles and Vinny complained about having something at the back of his throat. Only to finish up with this:
Vinny:“Of course living in a house with five dudes you’re gonna end up with something at the back of your throat.”
Made even funnier by the 30 second silence that followed. Vinny is a gem.

I was mowing the lawn this morning listening to this podcast.
I literally stopped and laughed for about 15 seconds. Then I had to restart the mower. Too damn funny…
It was the silence that killed me. I was driving in to work and almost had to pull over to the side of the road I was laughing so hard.

oh hello new life well wasted how ya doin.
Finally listened to Bombcast day 3 of E3. You guys are a little hard on Leigh. She’s not nearly as bad as you’re saying.
Haha, just kidding, no, she’s just dreadful. God. From the ‘and that was E3’ running gag that was stupid the first time (and which Jeff started mocking her for using, though she didn’t seem to realize it wasn’t encouragement) to the retarded ‘fuck Boston!’ which yielded less and less jokey ‘I’m going to turn off your microphone’ from Ryan.
The part where she started insisting on the cost of the party and the British guy just kept saying ‘well, no, that can’t be right’ and she started wailing on about her sources was pretty good. I also liked when she said ‘you can laugh at me’ and was then interrupted by everyone laughing at her.
My favorite had to be when Jeff used the word ‘unregardless’ and she began shrieking ‘IRREGARDLESS! IT’S IRREGARDLESS!’ Jeff meant what he said, you dumb shit, and even if he misspoke he probably didn’t mean irregardless. Christ.
The first Bomcast I couldn’t making it through. I got to the hour mark and had to quit. That woman shouldn’t be allowed to drink and podcast ever again.
Since she keeps talking about all her e-mails of support, I sent her one saying that I don’t think she owes the listeners an apology. Though I noted that I do think that Jeff and Ryan owe us an apology. You don’t blame the monkey for throwing feces, you blame the guy who decided to bring a monkey to a funeral.
