Also the last episode, 231 was removed after a while no explanation was given, at the moment a small mp3 saying the original was removed sites in is place.
Weird. I’m lucky I downloaded the whole thing then.

Did you listen to it and notice any juicy information that they might have edited out later? :-P
Haven’t yet, no. Any ideas what I should be listening for?
Who will win the 1997 World Series?
Here is link that is on the comment thread at PCGamer.com with the original version. Didn’t ear any information that isn’t already out there on other sites so don’t know why they pulled it.
A new idle thumbs podcast rains from the heavens! Yay!
Andrew Fitch is literally the worst.
I was actually coming here just to post that, interman. So thank you.
After a few weeks of his douchiness being on the backburner, he comes back with a vengeance.
When contrasted with Higgins’ own douchey tendencies, it makes the show unbearable. I honestly think that from now on I may just not listen if Karen’s not on.

Yeah… I stopped listening to that podcast a while ago.
I used to like listening to his dating disasters, but now he’s just sperging about any and every topic.
What specifically was so bad about this episode? I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.
Anyway, Debriefings amused me this week, cuz all the reader mail was directed to Ryan, some of it about League of Legends.

Fitch’s ranting and raving about The Simpsons for 10-15 minutes was fucking retarded. Whether you still happen to enjoy the show or not (I do a bit), his reasons for vehemently hating everything it stood for were some of the most absurdly stereotypically nerd-rage-fanboyish that I’ve ever heard on any episode of this podcast.
Who is the tool that keeps saying “brrapt! brrapt!”
God I hate that.
Yeah. I’m not exactly a huge proponent for the continuation of the Simpsons, but his freaking out about how he refuses to see anything relating to them at all ever because he doesn’t want to contribute to the ruination of a legacy (he’d later argue that Superman has no legacy because he’s not all that big a character*) was just bizarre and … and very Fitchlike.
*Which lead to the bizarre statement that Mickey Mouse and Superman have been surpassed by Mario as most recognized fictional character worldwide. What?

Fitch is the worst kind of geek.

These guys aren’t as funny as they think they are. The one that was hating on Splosion Man because you kill “innocent” scientists has issues.

The worst part is that he blatantly admits that he hasn’t even watched The Simpsons for more than a decade, and that killing Maude Flanders was pretty much a crime against humanity.
It’s like the epitome of everything wrong with with nerd fandom wrapped up in one convenient little fitch package.
I spent this weekend with DeathSpank. Now I’m listening to Weekend Confirmed.
Garnett really doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, does he? In order:
-
The Unicorns killing you element wasn’t an example of how the progression was out of order - it was an example of poor reading comprehension, because if you stay on the path they don’t attack you. The Pip Attack town is the example of bad progression. Also some quests. But of all the things you could pick, you pick the one instance where you’re provably, clearly wrong?
-
What the shit Diablo-style game has passive health regeneration? Because every example I could come up with didn’t. Like, for example, Diablo. Or Diablo 2. I don’t even know what he’s talking about there.
-
I have never blocked, ever. I’m assuming that’s why the Pips were beating the crap out of me.
It’s good to know that nothing’s changed since 1UpYours, I guess.

Maybe he got confused with Torchlight.
I never really cared for Garnett as a personality on 1UpYours. Is his schtick that he argues about things a lot? Especially when his points aren’t very well thought out/made?
