This is a bit of a non sequiter, but…

Top 2 ways to improve Weekend Confirmed:

  1. Make Garnett stop talking over people, especially immediately after asking them a question
  2. Get rid of the special musical guest segment. In fact, get rid of “breaks” altogether. This is a PODCAST, not a sports radio talk show.

Top 1 way to improve Giant Bombcast:

  1. Enough with the Wii-Ware release stuff. Really. It’s worse radio than the taste tests.

Otherwise, these are my favorite podcasts, especially since Idle Thumbs is kaput. Again.

The wii-ware stuff in BG was my least favorite thing for a long time, but lately with Jeff doing them it’s pretty funny - in fact I got the biggest/most laughs last week from that segment.

Efffffffffffffff yooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu

I want to give a recommendation for Jumping the Shark. I’ve only been listening for a few weeks. But I am really enjoying it. No musical interludes or constant derailments. Just 3 or 4 well spoken people talking intelligently about games. It reminds me of Three Moves Ahead except they do not focus on any one game genre.

I like 3 moves, but I can’t subscribe in Zune. Well, I couldn’t last time I tried, hang on a sec…

Nope, still not in the marketplace. C’mon guys! Some of us HATE iTunes!

Boy do we have you fooled…

(thanks for the kind words, though)

Wow. Zune will take any RSS feed and let you subscribe to it. Collection --> Podcasts --> Add a Podcast, then enter this URL:

As for getting TMA in the Zune Marketplace, you have to suggest it. Marketplace --> Podcasts --> Submit a podcast.

God dang it, I swear I tried that a while ago and it didn’t work. Well, it does now, so I can only say “Thanks!” for the slap upside the head. Thanks!

Yeah, I have submitted it. And still waiting.

Troy

Do you mean “it does now?” I hadn’t been subscribing to TMA, and just did it, and it worked. However, Zune Marketplace rejected the RSS feed for “Submit a Podcast” for some reason.

I’m sure it’s a volume kind of thing. But because I just tried to submit it and it failed, maybe email them.

Sorry, yeah, that’s what I meant - and I fixed it!

Agreed on both. Garnett gets so excited that he does sometimes talk right over the others, and frequently interrupts them right as they’re getting to their points in order to blurt out a non sequitur.

Agreed again. It was funny for the first couple of times, but it’s getting old. It also takes way too long. I mean, once I’d heard Jeff read the stupid Wii-Ware descriptions in his game show announcer voice a few times, I pretty much got it. Repetition doesn’t really improve the joke.

I disagree completely. It’s possibly the highlight of my week, and consistently makes me laugh like an idiot.

Diff’rent strokes and all that, Willis. Hearing Jeff scream into the mic week after week just doesn’t do it for me.

Jeff’s readings aren’t the high point there, it’s the fact that they generally end up talking about/making fun of/just plain cracking up at the title or description.

And who doesn’t wish their supplier was Saucepan Pan?

I wish they would move the Wii ware DS ware to a video outside of the podcast

I think you mean the Thauthpan Man.

C’mon, Steve. Jeff’s Russian-by-way-of-Mexico accented Wii-Ware announcer didn’t make you smile even a bit?

Yeah, that was fairly funny. There are definitely nuggets of hilarity to be found, but for me they’re not enough to justify the grating music and yelling.

Chris Remo is on the just released Three Moves Ahead episode 77.

Chocolate in my peanut butter.

We have had a run of excellent, excellent guests this summer. Bill, Loyd, Jenn, Soren, Derek…and more to come.

Chris was great.
