“And then some girl says, ‘Hey, that baby is cool!’”

I think she’s ok, give her another chance.

New episode went up yesterday. Oddcast 8/11

Oddcast could be great, but I’m already not listening to some good 'casts simply because I only listen during my commute and lately the Bombcast and Weekend Confirmed have been enough to last through 5 days of driving back and forth. As a result I have a ton of Eurogamer and Gameshark podcast episodes piled up that I’ll likely never get to.

Steve’s been complaining about tina since about page 50, so I wouldn’t hold out much hope :)

I, however, will give oddcast a try. Thanks for the mention.

No way. You talk about way too many casts in here for you to only listen to 4-5 hours a week.

I also manage to squeeze in Idle Thumbs, which usually isn’t too tough given their somewhat staggered release schedule. I’m very bummed that they’re going to be done after PAX. I will listen to Retronauts and Active Time Babble if I get a chance, but that hasn’t happened in quite awhile. I also like to listen to the Qt3 Games podcast when I make dinner, but it can take me a couple of weeks to get through an episode sometimes.

Well maybe you should contribute more than a monthly Microwaved SpaghettiO Special for your poor, suffering wife!

Thanks to whomever mentioned Geekbox, good podcast and not just about gaming. Every podcast has done and keeps on doing Starchest II but Geekbox brought up something interesting for once (for me) about how fast the Koreans play. I think this is even faster than Rockband on Breakneck speed. Fookin nuts!

PAX schedule is up and there are a TON of podcast panels/live episodes.

Too many in fact. The Retronauts and Idle Thumbs panels conflict, which is going to make me sad :(

The choice between Retronauts and Idle Thumbs shouldn’t even be a choice. Chris Remo trumps all by default.

I am already looking forward to ex-EA employee Jeff Green’s guest appearance on the next Bombcast.

I was watching some recent coverage of the EA game day that had Jeff in it and he didn’t look happy. Hopefully he has a better and brighter future ahead.

Well yeah, definitely doing idle thumbs seeing as it’s the reunion special, but I wanted to see the retronauts thing as well.

From Facetwitterbook:

Jeff Green - “Alrighty then. Heading across the Bay Bridge in a few to podcast with the Giant Bomb dudes. Wish me luck. I hear they’re real a-holes!”

Awesome!!!

Awesome indeed. Though the situation is unfortunate. Hopefully Jeff can get back in the game quickly. I’d love to hear him on a podcast regularly again.

Sounds like it was a good decision for Jeff. As a person who was probably in the same situation as him, it is probably for the best.

I didn’t know that Jeff had left EA. Does he talk about what happened on the Bombcast? Now I’m dying to know.

There is a post over at Greenspeak about it…http://jeff-greenspeak.blogspot.com/

It’s a pity that the EA thing didn’t work out and I hope he gets a new, great job as soon as possible. But Jeff Green out and about and hopefully podcasting much more is great news for us with 2+ hour long commutes.

Jeez, it was hard to listen to the latest PC Gamer (the one with Gary Witta as a guest) - that one guy who spent 25 minutes just GUSHING over the new BioShock game was a real eye opener. I wonder if that’s how I sound when I talk about something I’m excited about about but have never played? At least Civ V comes out in a month, this guy is heart-stopping excited for a game that comes out in TWO YEARS. Sheesh. Have a little journalistic detachment, for crying out loud.
