Please let this happen. Please please please.

Ha. It all depends on schedules and I’m not a big “anniversary show” person. And we would need a proper topic.

But to get me, Tom, Bruce and Julian back again on a show would be sweet. They were the original panel for a reason and set an excellent foundation. Now Rob has moved forward with a more fluid panel format, and it has been excellent, too.

But without that initial group I doubt I would have had the energy to keep it going or build what we have.

Oh and if you have suggestions or comments, please send them along. Always a lot to work on and a schedule with holes.

Troy

I am currently downloading SMAC at 2AM because of this. Thanks Troy.

He announced on the latest 8-4 Play he’s taken a position at Sony working on the dev relations working on their pub fund indie stuff.

Finally, Shane is coming home. :)

Yeah, they ribbed him about it being the job he’s been interviewing for for 7 years.

It was funny hearing that Jeff actually got so mad, at a game, that he punched his LCD monitor.

I want to add that I also love TMA.

It is the only gaming podcast I have ever and will ever listen to.

The latest Eurogamer Podcast (84) as special guest Chet Faliszek, they talk mostly about CS:GO, but also some information about Portal 2 DLC, The new content is mostly about Co-Op, for single player is all about challenge mode, not sure that information was public, probably was but I was unaware of it.

I would LOVE to not have to hear anything about Trackmania 2 just ONCE on Giant Bomb. That would be a dream come true.

Well you won’t like the news that the Bombcast is turning into a Trackmania 2 only podcast then…

They’ll talk about the best new tracks of the week, discuss who has been moving up the ladder, provide the latest news on how to get your TM2 server running and the best mods to install, and have interviews with TM2 track creators. They are also starting a Giant Bomb TM2 facebook page where ‘likes’ will be rewarded with ‘Planets’. Be sure not to miss the weekly, subscriber only, 4 hour TM2 scrub league where all your favorite Whiskey Media personalities will compete for the best time on A08.

I finally dropped Weekend Confirmed from my subscription list. I just can’t stand the music breaks and Garnett trying to dominate every discussion even if he doesn’t have anything to contribute.

I replaced it with This is Only a Test, the Tested.com podcast. Those guys have great chemistry and even if I zone out on some topics (e.g., most Apple discussions that aren’t about iphone/pod) there’s still a lot of interesting stuff and fun off-topic discussion. I’m working through the back catalog now, which should keep me busy for a while.

I’m not sure anyone likes the music break. I wonder if they are somehow bound to have a music break in exchange for their use of the studio or something. It’s been a while since I looked at the comment thread over at Shacknews, but it seemed to me that the overwhelming majority of people hate the music break. I know I do. I risk life and limb while driving to scrub past it each week on my iPod Touch.

Also, Del Rio’s tracks (not the mixes of show quotes) are always awful. I loved that Mark MacDonald was making fun of Del Rio’s latest abortion, “White Boy Wasted” on 8-4’s part of the TGS podcast.

It is a terrible podcast.

Weekend Confirmed is great and the only gaming podcast I still listen to regularly, other than Three Moves Ahead. I guess I want rather different things from my gaming podcasts than most people in this thread…

You and me, Chris. The GiantBombcast and Weekend Confirmed are my “main” podcasts. Then I’d say Jumping the Shark (I love Danielle) and Game Informer come next.

Then you might like Weekend Confirmed, this week, since Garnett is not on it.

News! Our friend Gary’s got a new thing going, the IGN Game Business show. Downloading now, I listened to a few episodes of Game Theory and enjoyed it.

Gary’s even more disconnected from gaming now than he was during Game Theory. Does he really contribute? I enjoy him as a third person on Tested’s podcast, but only to break up Will and Norm – he certainly doesn’t contribute much in terms of tech relevance. On a two-person podcast, he’s probably not going to carry his weight, right? I would’ve listened to the show myself already, but they still don’t have an RSS link; just iTunes.
