I didn’t mind it, but I’m a WaW fan and will probably buy the map pack. By the way, Jeff did discuss his feelings about the oversaturation of zombies in video games while that guy was there. The week before, Jeff had said something about how the inclusion of a zombie mode in WaW said a lot of about the state of zombie games.

But yes, in the future, these should be released as a separate show, like the BioWare one. At least when the Grin guys were there they stayed for nearly the entire episode. I know some people don’t like their drink/candy tasting sessions, but listening to them try “hockey powder” was hilarious.

agreed. this segment didn’t really bother me that much and wasn’t too long regardless.

Indeed. The GRIN guys stuck around for a lot of the episode and were very funny and entertaining. The PR robot they had from Treyarch was so scrubbed, polished, and on-message that he almost put me into a coma. It was one of the worst examples of PR shillery I’ve heard on a podcast in quite some time.

GWJ is broadcasting live right now at rabbitcon. See what everyone looks like!

Watched it all and was pretty entertained by it. More podcasts need to have live video and booze :)

I finally got around to the last A Life Well Wasted. I found it very enjoyable. I’m not sure what all the consternation was about.

It’s not quite a podcast, but I’m just starting to watch Giant Bombcast’s endurance run of Persona 4. A game I really had no interest in (and still don’t) but this is just hilarious. They’re being pretty gentle when you consider that in the first 40 minutes they’ve done nothing but press X over and over, but it’s a better MST3King of a game than anything The Escapist is doing.

Not sure if it was because the beltway turned into a parking lot or not - but I found Fitch to be particularly obnoxious on this week’s Geekbox.

I just watched the first endurance run vid… pretty funny. I am going to have to watch the rest.

i’ve always enjoyed the giantbomb videos, especially the quick looks for new games. after watching them, i have a pretty good idea if i would enjoy the game.

The third one is hysterical.

I am looking forward to it. Those Giant Bomb guys really know what they are doing, and I love their work.

The Bitmob podcast has been great so far. They’ve only done two, but the second one (numbered three because Robert Ashley ate #2 or something) is crazy funny.

I’m really enjoying the retrospective on The Last Express during the past two Idle Thumbs podcasts. It depresses the hell out of me that this game was released 12 years ago and it did innovative things that STILL no other game has replicated.

They definitely made me want to try it. Luckily I don’t have to track down a box copy since Gametap has it.

Just started watching…so funny! Thanks for the heads up bahim.

(Bitmob + Geekbox + Rebel FM) * Hammersuit = Podcast Network. I’m guessing this means not only are those podcasts pretty much here to stay, but now they should earn some actual money. That’s most of the post-1Up podcasts right there.

I do wonder how come Robert Ashley didn’t get in on this deal? An advertiser bump at the beginning of his show could go a long way toward compensating the ridiculous amount of work that has to go in on ALWW.

I’m avoiding advertising. I don’t want ads in the show or on the site. Other business models in the works, though.

Moichandising!

I’d buy a Life Well Wasted bong, signed by Robert Ashley.

just sayin’.
