Start with the giant bombcasts and then supplement with some listen up. Do it day by day. The three moves ahead interview was nice, if you’re into that sort of stuff.

All these E3 podcasts have me overloaded with info, too. I listened to hours and hours. I’d say it’s not necessary to go back. Or if you do, just pick one source over the other, because of the overlap.

I like Vinnie during the Persona 4 Endurance Run. While choosing persona cards: “Alright, I kind of want either the hot pixie, or the hot bondage chick, or the hot pixie bondage chick.”

I started watching the Persona 4 Endurance Run but stopped around the time they passed me in the game. I figured I’d rather watch them than play the game myself, but if they can suck so horribly at the game (it took them over six hours to figure out that they needed to attack their enemies’ weak points, and then they said it felt like cheating) and still progress then maybe I should play for myself.

Their skill level improves dramatically as the endurance run continues. About the only thing Vinnie and Jeff have regular issues with is fusing.

But the two of them are so entertaining that I don’t find myself getting all that annoyed with things like that.

When they were fighting the second both (bath-house) I was literally yelling at my screen.

STOP ATTACKING!!! YOUR PERSONA CAN DO PHYSICAL ATTACKS TOO!!!

Also, there is an episode in the mid/early 40s that is all fusing… skip it.

Really?

See, I’m with them on that one. I’ve never understood why personas get increased stats, cos so far as I’ve seen, all personas are for is casting spells. If the game ever bothered to explain that personas could be used to attack, Jeff, Vinnie and I all appear to’ve missed it.

However, they do drive me nuts when they utterly dismiss all of the support spells, make bizarre choices when it comes to how they use their healing and curing spells and items and constantly forget who has what spells. I’m not even playing and I remember that Chie has Mabufu, damn it!

Anyway, just now listening to the controversial Giant Bombcast. Leigh Alexander really does try to dominate that conversation by brute force. I really just have one question. Is she married? Cos if not, we need to hook her up with Fitch from the Geekbox and then UPS the two of them to Japan where they will never podcast again.

Please tell me they kick all of those people out twenty minutes in. Cross-talk in podcasts done through Skype and stuff is bad enough, but cross-shouting when everyone is in the same room is terrible.

So what was up with that dude crashing the stage at the beginning of the Listen 1up end-of-E3 podcast? Does gaming have it’s own Nardwar The Human Serviette now?

I just started this one this morning and that part was really weird. I dunno if it was someone mocking the insanely drunk Gamepro guy from the previous week’s episode or if it was just a random crazy person. Garnett, et al. seemed to be genuinely surprised and perplexed by the guy.

‘Sucks to be that guy’ is a great rebound.

He’s actually a comedian. Look up Talking Classics on Youtube.

Almost there … Tries a little too hard. And that podcast bomb was the opposite of funny.

I just want to say that it was awesome having Mark MacDonald back on ListenUp. He is the absolute best. He keeps the show going, gives opinions, and generates discussion. He’s also great at calling bullshit and getting others to clearly explains their views. Like I always say, he’s so dreamy.

Yeah, they have magical attacks that cost SP and physical attacks (which are more powerful than their regular attacks) that cost HP.

Oh, those. Yeah. Like Hysterical Slap and shit. I’ve seen those. They generally seem to be kind of a waste. Yosuke seems to hit harder with his spanners than he does with his Bash or whatever and it doesn’t cost SP or HP to use. Really, it kind of kills me when Yosuke or Charlie Tuna could do 50 damage with a regular attack, but they insist on Garu or Zio to the tune of 30 damage over and over out of some belief that spells are always better.

…and damn it, guys, use your buffs and debuffs. Especially on bosses!

Mark MacDonald should start his own podcast. He’s got the knowledge and the wrangling skills. I’d listen to it.

Yeah, they get much better with buffs/debuffs.

But Chie’s Persona is statted to do better with physical attacks. And her persona makes her stats better, so her physical attacks are better.

In case you missed it. Contains some language not safe for work or young ears.

Whoever edited that together did a great job. The photo of Ryan is perfect.

Yeah, pretty great.

I want this to happen so I don’t have to hear Fitch’s J-Bullshit anymore.
