i was thinking about getting him a leappad, but got wrangled into going half-sies on a big present, so i had to stick to a small gaming budget…

Leappad is the reading tool.
LeapSTER is the handheld gaming thing with a stylus/lightpen.
Just reinforcing the difference. You can’t play Battle Raper on either of them.
I think Yoshi’s Island is fantastic. Only one that deserves contention for the top spot is Super Mario Bros 3.
