Yup. No change. I’m now in the process of verifying the integrity of the files within Steam.

I just saw they added steam achievements to the game. Just when I though I was done…

3 files failed to validated, likely because my PC went into sleep mode while the game was downloading. Once Steam automatically re-downloaded them, the problem was fixed! Me <3 Steam!

Yup. They were just added yesterday.

Thankfully they seem to be retroactive, I logged in to play last night and had a bunch pop up at once.

Goddamnit. I lost my PSU in a thunderstorm recently so I won’t be able to see my achievements until my new one arrives. :(

That’s what laptops are for.

As of yesterday(?) we now have Steam achievements and supposedly support for Logitech keyboards LCDs (mine is only showing a Borderlands logo, not sure if there is any other functionality).

Also details of the next DLC have leaked, which I will avoid mentioning here in case anyone doesn’t want to be spoiled.

Some of them are retroactive but not all of them such as the “visit XXX location” achievements.

Also, some details on the next DLC have appeared to have leaked through this update.

Oh fun, more DLC. It’s been a while so hopefully it’s as epic as Knoxx (with some fast travel, please!)

Thinking about this some more, I really hope that the addition of the Steam achievements means they’ll be using Steamworks for the multiplayer for Borderlands 2 whenever that comes about.

And now I curse the friend who gifted me a steam version.

I burnt out on Borderlands after a few Crawmerax runs, but now I’m totally ready for more DLC. Bring it on.

I just picked it up on their ten buck sale…only fiddled with it a bit last night but seems well worth ten dollars!

I am level 34 and approaching the end. The gameplay is more challenging now that the lance enemies showed up and I switched to a shield that doesn’t regenerate health automatically.

Even though I already own it on the PS3, I caved and bought the $10 special with the $10 DLC pack, too. At first I had immediate buyer’s remorse because it ran like shit on my PC. Then I figured out it was an AA issue and now it runs great. Yay for mouse and keyboard.

It seems to run pretty well but I need to activate vsync to stop the tearing. I will probably leave AA alone, as it seems you have to trick the NVIDIA control panel into thinking it’s something else to get those profiles to work or something? At any event it was running smoothly at 1920x1080 other than the tearing.

The AA issue I was having was that I apparently had the ATI control panel set to override application settings and always have AA on. This resulted in massive framerate hits to the game. Turning it back to “Use Application Settings” made it as smooth as butter.

I’m only running at 1280x1024 so I haven’t had screen tearing, but if you need to fiddle with vsync (and other things) check this utility out: http://gbxforums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=85874

Wow, that’s cool! Thanks; I was just going to edit the config file but I’ll check this utility out indeed.

I beat General Knoxx and I’m level 42. I like the game a lot more now that there’s a focus on finding loot. Browsing through the wiki made me appreciate it more. I thought the shooting would be a bit of a grind, but endless headshots with sniper rifles and machine pistols never got old. It’s too bad about the quest scaling though. I guess I could run through the story quests in playthrough 2 until I catch up to the right level.

I started the game using the PC tweaks and never had a single complaint about the port.

I see that there is a GOTY pack coming out soon for sale. Worth getting or has the community for this game died out by now?
