They still haven’t fixed that fucking issue? Really?

The new DLC, Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, is out today on the XBL Marketplace (not sure about other platforms). Can anyone clarify: Is it this expansion that raises the level cap to 69, or the October 12th title update? If the level cap won’t be raised until the title update, I don’t see much point in playing the expansion until then.

anyone up for some coop for this, on the xbox? I’m trying to do my playthrough 2 so I can run the DLC, so some help would be welcome. I’m at level 42 at the moment, doing Sledge’s mine. Euro times will be preferable, but my hours are weird as fuck anyway. Add Astromarine on live.

I did a fresh run through as Siren last week, and also did Dr Ned and Gen Knoxx for the first time as part of it. Both DLCs were superb. Knoxx in particular was a lot of fun and very amusing. Looking forward to Claptrap.

I welcome our new claptrap overlords.

So I guess the new DLC isn’t hitting Steam today? :(

Starting to seem unlikely, although there is still a bit of time left today. However, at this rate, I doubt I will get a chance at all if the download is fairly big in size (my connection isn’t the fastest). Not to mention many of the people I co-op with live overseas, and have already given up and gone to bed. I can’t understand the delay, while it was made available much earlier for consoles.

My friends and I have really been looking forward to today. We were going to grab Guardian of Light and play co-op there, as well as have some fun Borderlands co-op with the new DLC. Now neither appears to be happening. Really not to happy with things today, but only because I have been looking forward to some fun new co-op things to do for some time.

Just started Steam and Borderlands downloaded a patch…

It’s on Steam for me.

It’s up! Borderlands just started updating itself, too.

The new DLC doesn’t raise the max level. Not on the 360, anyway.

Since I’m still on playthrough 1, it works for me. But yeah, the level 69 patch is the big public rebalancing one.

Anyone know if the new DLC has securom like moxxi and dr.zed?

This new DLC is fun. I’m a borderland’s die-hard (played through every thing twice except for Moxies which sucks except for the extra storage).

Anyway, it’s fun, but the baddies could definitely be beefed up. Most are level 57-58 which isn’t too bad except when they come in massive waves of cl4p tr4ps. Then it gets a bit dicey. Thank god for 2nd wind.

I picked up a boatload of orange/purple weapons. I got far more from drops than the chests - although the white chests are pretty decent and the red suck as 90% of the time they had eridian weapons.

I just finished the 2nd main mission (destroy the factory / pumps). The humor is pretty good. I got a good collection of pink panties, clap fish and bobble traps. I even got one pizza. I wonder if that is an achievement?

Anyway, it’s decent. If you liked borderlands, it’s probably the 2nd best DLC behind Knoxx IMO so far.

It does not. Just install and go.

The new patch that is coming out soon that raises the level cap, does it do anything else to the game? The reason I’m asking is that I started a new character the other night and if they are making any big chances I can wait for the next patch before getting far with him.

I don’t know, although the fact that you can respec puts me at ease.

The patch is live, is it not? I know Borderlands downloaded a whole bunch of something last night before I bought the DLC, but I haven’t had time to actually load it up yet because of a random beta invite.

That last patch was just a minor one to make it Claptrap DLC-aware and some other minor thing. There’s another big patch coming mid-October for the level cap and some rebalancing (e.g., level-scaled enemies after level 45 and the second playthrough). I don’t know if it’ll actually affect skills or character builds, though.

That patch is just to let non-new DLC players play with DLC players.
