OK here’s a question: do the upcoming remasters of BL2 and its DLC only come free if you already own the Handsome Collection, or what? It’s unclear if you’ll get them if you don’t already own the Pre-Sequel. I already own Borderlands 2 and some of its DLC.

I ask because I don’t care that much about (nor own) the Pre-Sequel stuff at all, but I wouldn’t mind getting ALL the BL2 goodies remastered.

The remastered edition does not appear to be any kind of technical accomplishment on a PS4 Pro. Frame rate seems decent, but lots of screen tearing.

Looks and plays great on PC. Oddly, the launcher’s graphic settings don’t quite match up with the in-game graphics settings.

Probably better than The Division 2.

Think I’ll be playing this (the enhanced GotY) tomorrow on Steam. I have two Hunter characters, one is L26 and the other one maybe 11. I’m Papagenox on Steam if someone is up for joining around 11 AM US Pacific time.

I’m confused myself. I had Borderlands 1 and 2 in my library, and I have all the Borderlands 2 DLC. This is what shows up:

No idea why there are two versions of Borderlands 1, and why Borderlands 2 is not listed as GOTY. If I go to the B2 store page* it tells me I own it, but there’s also a GOTY edition that’s $12 to buy. And yet if I try to add that to my cart, it tells me that I already own it! So yeah, who knows.

*Not a pleasant experience, the Steam reviews are a shitshow.

I believe only the first Borderlands is a remaster. The other two just have a new HD Texture DLC available. No new steam entries for the games themselves nor free dlc.

Ah, that makes sense. I guess I’d misread the news reports and assumed they were both remastered.

There we go!

Oh, and “Enhanced” is new Borderlands 1 release. There’s an option to import your character from the other edition.

PSA: If anyone is having problems with FPS drops or stuttering with Borderlands GOTY Enhanced I fixed my issues by disabling Ambient Occlusion in the graphics options menu.
