Guys, sticking to a single ‘build’ the entire game is fun and all, but when it only costs 7k to respec, its kinda worth experimenting. That being said, Mordecai’s bird can be pretty devastating when its fully pimped.

You don’t have to pour 10 points into it. Even just 2 points in the health regen is pretty sweet. I wouldn’t put any into ammo regeneration though.
I AM going to put 5 points into boosting the turret’s damage, though. With the artifacts allowing the turret to do any elemental damage that you want, it’s pretty damn awesome in lots of situations.
I’ve got 5 in health regen and I no longer need to carry medkits. It heals FAST.
Sadly, I put 1 pt in Ammo regen and it’s sooooooooooooo slow. It also only regens ammo for the weapon in your hands.

I never really run out of ammo, honestly. I use different weapons for different situations, always one SMG and one CR, and then usually a rocket launcher and a shotgun.
I haven’t even upgraded to the latest ($16,000) ammo storage upgrades.
I think the problem with ammo regen on the soldier is that the soldier is kind of pushed in the direction of high fire rate weapons and so tears through lots and lots of ammo - leastways, I do - and the ammo regen from the turret seems to work on a one bullet at a time basis, completely failing to take into account the fact that I’ve got an ammo capacity of 720 bullets and use 5 of them a second or whatever. My sniper-oriented hunter friend has found it very helpful, by contrast.

the ammo regen is based on %, you regen rocket/sniper ammo slower than smg and combat rifle.
Really? Because with it maxed, I regen like 50 CR ammo in the time that it’s down, which sounds nice until you realize that I can blow through that in about 15 seconds, maybe less.

Nobody ever figured out the bunny yet?
Also, is this the hidden gun that was talked about earlier in the thread? if not, where is that discussion? 50 pages sucks.

Anyone done the hunt for the sniper rifle parts. I’ve found everything but the scope but I can’t find that. Yes, it’s marked on the map but I’m right on top of it and there’s nothing there. Anyone run into this - because I just can’t find/see it. Wondering if I have a bug or not?
EDIT - Nevermind, the map marked it incorrectly, just stumbled over it hiidden in some grass about 20 feet away. Odd . . .
I think that’s just a weapon crate. The hidden gun we were talking about is only available during the Another Piece of the Puzzle quest. It’s not that great…but we’re pretty sure it does extra damage to the boss of that quest.

I just dropped everything except bird skills doing this, now I have an uber bird, and shooty-wise, the challenge has returned to SP.

The “hunt for weapons parts” quest indicator just marks a general area, never specific pieces from what I’ve seen.

It’s supposed to be for quick travel once you leave the first zone.

I just want to say that the people responsible for the PC version of this game should be lined up in the street and verbally harangued by a crack team of insult comics.
Unskippable movies? Really?
This is correct. Its pretty general area.

I was planning I choosing generic +damage +health +shields type skills until I get enough skill points to unlock (and max out) the 2 cooldown reducing skills on the turret. Then I would respec completely for fast cooldown and high damage turret. I haven’t tested the theory yet though so I don’t know how well it will work.
I figure you could do the same thing with Brick. Generic +health +shields +damage until you unlock the beserk cooldown reducing skills, then respec for a mega beserk build.
I specced for pure turret damage from level 1 to 24. It’s worked out well for me so far, but then again I haven’t tried other specs yet for contrast.
My turret absolutely tears through everything. In 4 man games with multiple badass mobs on the field, it’s a lifesaver. It would be doubly useful if I could easily toggle between elemental damage types.
Right now I’m rocking a mod that gives my entire team +8 ammo regen every tick. No one EVER runs out, even with constant metal storm procs. That said I’ll probably still invest in the turret ammo skill, because I don’t feel that strongly about the 20% shield regen either.
EDIT: but I probably would care if the game had a hardcore mode, a la Diablo II. I would love to see a hardcore mode.
Hoooly mother, me and 2 other friends just had an intense little gunfight in the West Rust Commons. We ran out of ammo, with no vehicles and decided we didn’t want to make a big detour to go grab one so we decided to hoof it to the next quest. Baddd mistake, and it wasn’t helped out one little bit that the 3rd member of our group was level 15 to our level 23 or so. What proceeded was the most drawn out running gun battle I’ve ever participated in, going on well longer than 15 minutes, as we proceeded to use whatever ammo exploded out of the ant creatures to defend ourselves against the horde rising from the ground. Seriously we racked up 3 artifacts, 2 class mods, and over a dozen blues and purples from that fight.
